...because it is garlic! I dinged it one star on value because their website says that I can go to another local grocer and get this for $5. There;s another brand of freeze dried garlic in which the garlic is powdered...but I thought I'd like the bigger chunks better. I've so far used this for garlic bread, a burger, and egg salad. I just put in on/in dry and let it soak up whatever the liquid is.
I've been using this for awhile. I used to be able to buy it in my local Walmart Super Center. But no more. All other garlic's of this type, come in water. This product is freeze dried and you add the water when you use it. Therefore it stays fresh longer. And is always Fresh when used. Unlike the stuff that comes in liquid.
Love this and have been using it for years. The garlic is pronounced and you can clearly taste it in your cooking... next best thing to fresh!
Move over garlic powder. This is definitely a game changer. Flavorful and easily rehydrates and incorporates within your dishes, you can even use this in a pinch when you run out of fresh garlic. It is potent and perfect to sprinkle on pastas or stewed down for a deeper flavor.
This garlic is just like freshly cut - only without the work! Taste is great - convenience is outstanding......
Love the flavor of the garlic. It still has full flavor a little goes a long way! Will look to buy again; in comparison to other far better. Will use in my herb mixes.
I love garlic.. For years I have purchased fresh garlic bulbs and hand minced it to get the "real" taste and flavor. None of the prepared garlic, whether dried or refrigerated has been acceptable. Until... I tried the Litehouse Garlic Herbs. and "fell in love." It is fabulous. Doesn't lose its flavor in cooking and actually is better than even fresh, without the extra work. I now purchase extra bottles so I can't run out!
I absolutely love this garlic! I never buy fresh because it's just as good and requires no prep. Something I like to do is throw some in the boiling water with some of the Litehouse basil or oregano when making pasta if I'm going to just use olive oil and cheese. It rehydrates and cooks it in a single step and also flavors the pasta!
My son used some on a dish he made me %26 I noticed the nice difference this brand made (garlic). I just need to figure out how much for the size of dish I'm making to taste that taste again. Tad pricey but worth it if I get it right.
Too expensive !
