I liked the fact that it teaches hand, eye coordination. And the colors are bright and vibrant. One thing I didn’t like is if you mix it together pretty much you have to leave it that way. But I would definitely buy this again!

cute item. my child immediately blended all the sand colors though so its one big purple blob. so now he cant really use it as separate items to make a sandwich. so maybe a one use item as intended, then just fun play with mixed colors.

I bought this to use with my students in occupational therapy (OT) to work following directions and bilateral coordination. The concept is good, but the main problem is the sand. It was very hard and I read the directions to get it out and knead it to soften it. However, I had the hardest time getting it out of the jar to soften it. I did soften it a bit, but as others have commented, the sand does mix and some of my students were distressed by the mixed colors. The banana was also disappointing as the sand was hard, but after working it, it became softer, but then the banana did not stay in the “unpeeled” position. This is such a great idea, but long term this won’t hold up in my sessions. It was under $10 and the value is really good. The kids loved it for the time that they have used it and really that’s the main point of the toy.

I really like this, and my son did also, but it is a lot cooler for the first time playing with it cause once you mix it, you can't unmixes it

This dough isn't very good; it dries out easily and the banana dough was hard by the time it arrived. Other Creative Chef kits have a much nicer dough that stays soft.

The sand for the banana is very hard and difficult to manipulate. After a few plays with the "peanut butter and jelly" you're just gonna have one color of sand. I went to the craft store and bought felt fabric and made pretend peanut butter and jelly and banana slices to go with this toy. I feel like I just paid for convincing pretend Texas toast 😂. That's okay, lesson learned.
