Very cool and love it. Not a gamer but getting into streaming and its so cool. I use logitech for my camera and keyboard and mouse
I went with tactile and I was not disappointed. The feel is excellent. I only wish that I could choose the steady color. Blue is cool, but I prefer green and the experts in vision recommend red. Otherwise, buy this!
It was the best price, available, and would arrive quickly.
This has to be one of the best keyboards I've ever used, and I've been working in computers for half of my life now. I love that the grip on the bottom truly keeps it from sliding while the pop out legs lift the keyboard up to the perfect angle. And then there's the gorgeous light display. I am so in love with the rainbow of lights that move and change when my computer is turned on. Now I'm a happy gamer Mama!
I have been using this keyboard for about a month. I replaced a G413 which is nearly identical to the G513, but with only white backlit keys. The G513 has black keys with black anodized aluminum top which is nice and better matches the other components, and has a full color backlit with nice controls to selecting them in the app. The reason I replaced the G413 was double typing some lettters, I hope they fixed that for the G513. The only thing that I do not like is that only the primary key character is backlit and not the secondary characters. Like for the nine key, "9" is lit but the left parenthesis ("(")is not lit. I typically know where the primary keys are and need some guidance for the secondaries. They are printed on the key but with the backlighting on, and in a darkened room the secondary key is harder to locate.
Cool aluminium body keyboard. This makes it very heavy. The aluminium has a brushed look, and is dark grey, like gun metal. USB pass-through. It has GX Brown Tactile switches, Logitech's answer to Cherry MX speed keys, and they feel really nice. They aren't as clicky as some people like, but I like my keys quieter. Back lit LED, you can use Logitech software to control, or there are some pre-programmed onboard profiles that you can use. I have used the G10 1st gen, and I loved it, logitech has never really made a replacement for that one. I have also used the G910, that I took a few issues with. Over time, the G910 back light LED's started to die out, I hope they have resolved that issue with the G512. On the G512 has a light for there Caps lock, and the G memory, but none for the number lock or scroll lock. I would also prefer dedicated media buttons, if nothing more than a volume control and mute.

I really like this keyboard. It is a bit heavy, not so easily moved around. I lile that my hands can comfortably rest on it. The raised keys are nice. Easy to press down with little "clicking" noise. Just overall, a nice simple keyboard that doesn't break the bank account.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the g413 and I gotta say. You guys have really lost the plot. This was SO CLOSE to being my perfect keyboard. No extra keys, no key remover, the cord isn't a nice braided cable anymore, and the shift symbols don't light up? Why? Older models did! Why did you stop selling those for this?
Prior to purchase I reviewed specifications and a user manual I came across showed the upper numeric row of keys (with shift characters) had 100% backlighting. The numeric keys on the G512 keyboard I received do not light up the shift characters, so using in a dark room without lights on makes it hard to enter shift characters. Talked with Logitech and they do not have replacement keys. If you need to type (or play games) in the dark, purchase a different keyboard with full 100% backlighting.
