We've used this exact model mouse since 2009 when I sold my soul to the devil and got the first Walmart E-computer. Now we have 2 HP all in ones and still like the Logitech mouse. They don't really wear out but my wife likes to snack while on her side of the room and the roller wheel gets sticky after a while. I'd recommend this mouse to anyone for any application. If you still have a cord tying you to the computer it's a great design for going cordless. Saw a review once about it not being rechargeable.........no need. The batteries last so long you'll forget it has batteries. Check them first if it acts erratic. And the slide pads can get loose after a very long time and cover the laser eye. Other than that we never had a problem.
I have used Logitech mice for many many years now. They always work great and are very good quality. I needed a new mouse for my new laptop and that is why I bought the M510. The USB wireless plug in is very small and hardly sticks out the side of my laptop. The mouse is a nice size and not a tiny kid size. Fits my hand great and has a nice grippy rubber texture to it. Worked right away and no need to install any drivers. (at least with Windows 8 that is). The battery feature is very unique too. Supposed to last up to 2 years before needing a replacement. So no need to carry around extra chargers or batteries...which is great for my laptop configuration. I would highly recommend this mouse to anyone who wants a quality high precision mouse for their laptop.
Had to replace an earlier logitech after 4 years because it was acting erratically. This unit is a step up from the one we had, but it is well worth the couple of bucks more I spent on it. Comfortable to use, and the shortcuts for scrolling and recalling previous page is very handy.
Great maneuverability; glides smoothly but with enough weight to keep it stable. fits most average-sized hands well - R or L; wheel & 'buttons' quickly responsive. 'Right-out-of-box' start, as it comes with batteries, makes it even more appealing for convenience and economy. Price is 'spot on' & I would recommend this Logitech M510 mouse for any average user/household.
This mouse replaces my "OLD" MS IntelliExplorer 2.0 mouse of 12+ years. It has basically the same feature set as my old mouse with and has a small "plug and forget" usb adapter vs the old MS mouses adapter that was the same size as the mouse! The mouse is comfortable in my hand and works perfectly on Ubuntu 12.04. Wish I wouldn't have waited so long to replace my old worn out MS mouse.
Bought this mouse because my husband has the same one he uses on his computer. I have always found it very user friendly. When I got a laptop and wanted a mouse to go with it, I didn't hesitate to order this one. The recessed grip is very accommodating for the hand. I also like the click back button on the side which allows you to go back to your previous screens without going up to the top go back arrow. This mouse also slides well on almost any flat surface. My granddaughter is only five and sometimes removed the mouse pad and just uses it in the wooden desk top. It slides great. Would definitely recommend this mouse to anyone thinking about purchasing one. You can't go wrong. Also had battery light that tells you when its batteries are low. The underside has a on/off switch to help save battery life when not in use. My husband never turns his off and has been using the same batteries for over two years. You can upgrade this product for free with a free download online at Logitech. It is fast and easy to do. Haven't found a downside to this product yet!
After my Microsoft mouses untimely death, I was more than happy to chuck that frustrating mouse, and invest in my second Logitech M510 Mouse. I have been using computers for over 30 yrs., and the M510 is the best mouse on the market. With its comfortable design and perfectly located programmable buttons, its the ideal mouse for hours of use. I have owned dozens of mice and a number of Logitech mice, which in my opinion they produce some of the best pointing devices on the market.
I love this mouse. Perfect for small hands. I am just ticked. Found the same mouse on 2 other sites for $12 less. Going back for price match when I have time. It really is a great mouse. I have two others, one for another PC and another for travel. While it's a bit big for travel the buttons are positioned perfectly for me. Logitech always makes great products so can't go wrong.
The mouse did not work. I thought their was a problem with my laptop, but after I tried another mouse that works with my new laptop I realized it was the new mouse I bought. I even tried the new mouse on my other laptop and it still doesn't work. So I know the mouse is defective. I'm becoming disappointed in some of the latest products I've bought from Wal-Mart.
I was charged 44 dollars for a mouse that didn't work. I bought this as a gift for someone and to not have it work was a downside. Delivery was quick and driver was polite. Disappointed in the quality of the item.
