Lucid 2" Cooling Gel with Aloe Plush Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Queen

I’ve been told for many years that one of the things you should always try to have in quality is a bed mattress. We should be spending 1/3 of our lives on our beds, so having comfort and support for a good night’s rest is important. My teen son has been sleeping on a simple spring mattress for many years, but as he is now growing tremendously as a teen, I wanted to give him something more. The Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper has been a great choice for us. It has been in use for over two months now, and my son has been very comfortable. The topper has been a fine addition to his old spring mattress, giving it new life after many years of use. As can be seen in the attached photos, when the mattress topper is removed from the packaging, it needs to have some time to completely decompress from shipment. We left ours out overnight, and the next morning it was ready for use, at maximum inflation. We placed it on his old mattress, covered both with a cotton mattress liner to keep the topper in place and for protection. Thus far my son has been very happy with the topper, having restful nights with this new addition.

I received the Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper for free through the Walmart Spark Review Program. I was excited to receive this product. I had a less than comfortable twin mattress in my guest room (even though it was an expensive mattress). No one ever complained about it but I knew it was not somewhere I would like to lay my head down each and every night. So I decided to try the Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper. When I received this product it was squished down small in it’s box. When I placed on my twin bed it was 2 to 3 inches too small all the way around. I was really concerned with this. I had to run out for a few errands and when I returned a few joins later the Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper had expanded full to the edges of the twin bed mattress. I put the fitted sheet over it and made the bed. My daughter slept over a few days later and was raving about how comfortable the bed in the guest room was. I tried it later after she had left and “WOW!!” What a difference that 2 inches of memory foam made. Not only is it comfortable, but the Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper makes the bed “cooler” to lay in. What a fantastic product. I recommend fully.

When I undid the packaging I thought the foam was a permanent bumpy disaster BUT after 24 hrs all was well and the topper was perfectly shaped. It is EVER SOOOOO COMFY!!! Very different than my old thin one. Memory foam has come a long way in 14 years :-) Are you a crafter? Then order another topper and "hack" it for chair cushions... you will never find foam this great at the craft store!

This arrived in a roll, inside an outer box. It's a twin size, All I had to do was carefully cut the plastic around the roll. It spread out into a bigger piece .It's pale seafoam green, but looks like white on my pictures. At first it was a little difficult to smooth out. But after 24 hours it was perfectly smooth and cushiony. The pad is 2 inches thick and springs back into shape when you squeeze it. It's very comfortable to lay on and springs back into shape when you get up. It also has small holes in it , probably for ventilation. I really love this pad and would recommend it to any one with a hard mattress or an uncomfortable one.

this review is for the LUCID PLUS GEL INFUSED MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS TOPPER, twin size, 3" inches thick. the 3" inches thickness will be what the maximum size will be after the memory foam relaxes after a few days of the compacted, double folded, plastic wrapped package, is released. since the topper is folded, there will be large ridges down the center, but it takes time for the foam to lay itself flat. you can help it along by sitting or laying down on the opened topper. it will also, at first, not seem wide enough to fit the standard twin mattress, but waiting time is needed for it to fully relax. the only size that concerns me is the length. it lacks a few inches. but hoping that over time, this foam might also grow in that direction as well, from top to bottom, but im unsure if that will occur. i didnt receive any paperwork from the company on this product so i dont know all the details about this toppers placement on your mattress or what type of care or maintenance that needs to be done. there is no gel that can be seen, so the infusion of gel is slight and combined into the foam. this topper does not get cold as any gel might do. the infusion, however, does help to hold the memory foam in place longer when its compressed. there are several thin holes the thickness of a pencil, made into the foam for it to breathe. the topper is all one material so that you can flip this pad on either side. even though 3" inches doesnt seem like much, this LUCID PLUS GEL INFUSED MEMORY FOAM TOPPER, is totally comfortable. i placed this topper on a plain regular standard twin mattress that contains springs and cant be turned over. previously i had been having hip pain from pressure from the springs, but once i added this mattress TOPPER, my sleep was painless and all my bones were able to relax. i am now having a great sleep. the only con is having to purchase deeper sheets to cover both the twin mattress and the extra 3" inch topper. or, you may be able to find a perfect separate covering just for this mattress topper by itself. any way you do it, youll still get a good nights rest.

I really like this Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper. I received it a couple weeks ago and have been sleeping on it ever since. Most every night I have had a better, deeper, more refreshing sleep than I am accustomed to. I ordered the twin size because there was not a standard size available. I had it in mind to use it in the guest room that has a twin sized bed. I put it on my standard size bed to try it out. I like it so much I may keep it on my bed henceforth. Before I bought my current mattress, I had a different kind of foam topper on my bed. It was good, but this gel infused topper is better! I have slept better these last couple weeks than I have for years. It is so comfortable that I don't toss and turn so much anymore. And, it is easier to turn over than with the other foam topper. I can't say enough about it. My cats sleep with me and they seen to prefer sleeping on the Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper as much as I do. Yes, they get up to mischief during the night but they always come back to bed and crowd in on the foam topper...but they don't wake me up. Ib summary, This is a great topper and I am glad to have found it. I sure would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their sleep experience.

A gel mattress is a great thing to have but for many they are simply too expensive. That is where the "Lucid Plush Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper" comes in. Being a Sparks reviewer, I recently had the chance to try one, and let me just say that I am pleasantly pleased. The topper I received was the 2" version.. It is delivered in a roll. So all you do is unroll it on top of your existing mattress. When I stretched out on it, I immediately felt a comfort like I have never felt before. It is infused with gel that helps to regulate temperature. The topper can be used any month of the year and it should help to achieve a comfortable sleep pattern. The mattress topper features a ventilated design to help airflow and breathability. The topper is constructed of a sturdy material and is made with memory foam. It will adjust to all weights and sizes. The plush feel is luxurious and very comfortable . It is like sleeping on a cloud of marshmallows...

The topper came wrapped up nicely in plastic and was vacuum sealed. It weighed 8 pounds and was easy to carry around. After taking it out of the plastic and lying it flat on the floor, it expanded to it’s full size in a few hours. There was no smell at all, which is nice, since I have bought things like pillows that smelled terrible and were unusable. It’s got holes on both sides that are suppose to prevent over-heating. It appears well made and a good value for the money. I put the twin size topper on a king size bed, and I have had no issues with it moving around on the bed or the sheet fitting over it. It has stayed in place like it was glued to the bed. The good news is that sitting in bed reading, leaning against pillows, the foam molds around my body, so I don’t have as many aches and pains as I normally have when I get up after an hour. The bad news is it is a little harder to get out of bed, because the topper is soft and provides less support. If you sit on the edge of your bed and, say, put on your shoes, it’s a lot more difficult than without the topper. Some people may complain about trying to get out of bed, but it’s no where near as hard as getting out of a water bed. : ) When sleeping on my back, I do feel like I’m sleeping on a slab of foam. There are no nooks and crannies with this topper. You get a uniform cushion under your whole body. It’s more pleasing to sleep on my side since the foam molds around my body more. This also helps eliminate any pressure points that cause aches and pains after some time. The kind that makes you roll over in your sleep or wakes you up. My upper arms don’t hurt from lying on my side too long, like it sometimes did before I had the topper. I haven’t found that I’m warmer or cooler. And there is a slight smell to the topper now that I have it on the bed. But it's very faint, and it may disappear over time (as I’ve only had the topper a few nights). And I DO think I have slept better and longer without waking up. So while it’s not perfect, it does seem to help reduce aches and pains for this older woman. I’ve used toppers in the past and this one seems well made. So if you have a hard bed and find your body aches in the morning I would say it’s worth the money to give this topper a try!

This is a very thick matress topper. You will sink in and it makes changing your sleep position difficult. It IS NOT COOLING. The topper made me sweat horribly. It is not ventilated as others have stated either. Now I have to try and return it. I hope that goes okay.

I regret buying this topper. It feels cheaply made and offers no real comfort or support. Instead of improving my mattress, it made sleeping worse—I woke up sore and restless. The cooling gel and aloe infusion are just marketing gimmicks; they don't deliver any noticeable benefit. For the price, I expected durability and quality, but the material feels flimsy and poorly constructed. Save your money and look elsewhere if you want a topper that actually enhances your sleep.
