This pasta roller item is a gem! My only reason for giving it 4 stars was that it had no instructions in the box. It is also coated in a blue plastic that is difficult to remove. I've used it to make egg noodles and egg roll wraps. Both came out very well. I like the variable thicknesses. The item is shiny chrome.
My wife asked for this for Christmas because her favorite restaurant made their own pasta and it tasted better than store bought, so I got it for her. In the first month she has already used it twice with only one complaint that she doesn't really mind. Since the handle is made to be used in multiple locations for the different types of pasta, it is removable. The problem is, it comes off too easily. It doesn't lock into place. It is easy to clean. It is easy to use. She loves it, but she is considering hacks to keep the handle in place while in use.
It has a lot of blue protection film that you have to remove. You can't always get it all. The top of the knob for thickness is angled. Someone at the factory didn't put it on straight. The lever falls out to easily. And the thickness roller clicks and gets stuck. Yes, I turned it the correct way. The two cutting rollers work fine. The clamp is useless unless I put a potholder under the pasta machine to help keep it in place. The clamp has black material on part of the screw part %26 won't go past that. That's another factory mistake %26 quality control missed it. This pasta maker isn't worth it. Save your money %26 buy a better one. It feels cheap. It will probably break soon no matter how careful I am.
I was so excited when my box got here. I eagerly ripped the boxes open and took it out, but noticed a blue plastic film over everything. Cool, just peel it off. WRONG! It looks like they put the cling on every single piece BEFORE assembly. That means there are several pinch places where the plastic rips and stays there. I don't know about you, but I prefer my pasta without plastic. I've been digging pieces out with tweezers. I don't know how well it works, just how frustrating the packaging is lol
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! let me make you a life of reasons - blue plastic wrap that will not come off of your machine, even with razor blades. And yes, we tried. -the gears will stop working the minute it meets any sort of resistance against your dough. Continuing to run, the machine will leave metal flakes that won't be itself into your pasta dough The edges are also sharp. It's a wonder you don't cut yourself taking it out of the box. The dough ramp is very wobbly and falls off because it is hooked to two teeny screws that are also incredibly sharp
Nothing like opening what was sold as a brand new item and finding CHUNKS of dried dough rattling around and falling out of it. Buyer beware... if you think you're getting a brand new item, paying full price for it and all, you still may end up with something that has been used and returned... Disgusting.
This is the worst purchase I have ever made! No way can you get the blue cling wrap off of anything other than the bottom.. The instructions were pathetic, the handle that you turn would not lock in place, fell out several times. The "anchor" to the counter was flimsy, would unscrew itself. I had so much gunk left in the machine that I threw it away after my first use. I notice a 5 star rating, but it was referring to a seat cover, not the machine.
This machine is covered in a blue plastic film. When you remove chunks of the plastic film remain in all of the joints areas. I tried removing by washing and with a fine needle to poke it out of the small joint areas but could not remove all of it. Chunks of plastic remain in areas where food would pass through. I will not use this to prepare food for myself or my family, just awful. Also, the instructions are terrible.
a blue protective plastic was on the machine which was on it when they screwed it all together now you can't get it off. Aslo there are exposed screw point that cuts you skin
I don't normally review items, but we ordered these for a cooking class and we're so disappointed. They are very poorly made. 2 of the 3 sounded like the gears were broken and wouldn't turn smoothly and one wouldn't turn at all.
