Mabis Retractable 5 Prong Ice Grip Attachment for Canes, Crutches, and Walkers, Snow Safety

it was a perfect winter to buy this cane attachment, it was easy to install even for a older lady and it has saved me several falls so far. I'm more than glad to have purchased this very well made appliance .

I made a walking stick for my wife to use and her sister and friends fell in love with it. I even made one for myself and didn't get to use it because one of her friends wanted one for her mother, so now, I am buying some more; some to be used with canes and some with just walking sticks. The only problem is with the screws keep coming loose, so I put on locking washers and nuts, but it is not very easy to do. In fact, on my wife's I drilled a hole and just screwed it into the pole. I like the idea of the spikes folding up out of the way as the floors and carpets in Wal-mart & other stores would be a problem. I hope that the prices don't go up to much with the new demand to have these much needed grips, especially for people that need the extra safety to walk with the winters that seem to be getting longer & longer.

So simple yet so nifty and easy to use. I will order a spare. Delivery was really fast.

I have had problems with my cane slipping on snow and ice since last year. When I added this product I was amazed at how steady I can keep the cane in slippery conditions. It is simple to flip the gripper into place and even when snow is higher than the height of the hardware, it all holds fast. I am thrilled to know even if my feet slip, my cane will not.

Haven't used it yet on ice or snow, only early August here and still warm. But I can say it was easy to attach to the cane and clicks up easily when the tips are not needed. So all good so far.

These were easy to put onto my canes and they grip well.

Attaches easily to cane and with the extra long screws included will work on crutches. It flips up an down with just one hand and works very well on ice. It does add a little to a light weight cane but is worth it.

Fell apart after 1st use. I have gotten these from other sellers and they have been fine. This is cheap. If you want a good one order it from VIVE (they are excellent). Also I was told I could return it to Walmart and they said no. I have to send through Fedex which is a pain. CRAP PRODUCT! As you can see in photo the white piece came off so you can not move the grip. up or down......

This item arrived BENT AND UNUSABLE on December 26, 2025 and I was told by that I did not need to return it because it is a health item. I was also told I receive a refund in 2 or 3 days but am still waiting 10 DAYS LATER. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
