I've been using the Magic Bullet since it first came out, this was a replacement item. Works as advertised. One thing to be aware of is if you don't press firmly on the top and you start scraping some rubber off the bottom flanges which engage the rotary blades you will end up with black, rubber/plastic dust and unusable blades, which is a bummer.
I bought mine in 2003 when they first came out. I still have it (except for one lost cup) and the motor just ran out this week. I've been using it for protein shakes for a long time. It also has been a great dog vitamin crusher, salsa maker, egg scrambler, pina colada mixer, and food processor. I'm about ready to buy a new one. Hope the quality is still great because I expect it to last me another 10 years.
I got this a few days ago and it's been good so far. I don't like the fact that there are no buttons on this smoothie maker. I was shocked to find out that. Asides that, it's pretty okay so far.
I wanted a replacement for the nutri- bullet I'd had for a few years and had died (a magic bullet 1000 series). It was really hard to identify an equivalent replacement and then when I received the one I thought was, it turned out to be really small and not compatible with the parts I had kept hold of. Part of this was probably due to the website not working properly so I couldn't click on ‘full details'. I'm not overly impressed with the performance. And what exactly is the difference between a juicer/ smoothie maker/ blender?? Very little guidance on the website… I nearly sent mine back but I've ordered a second hand one the same as my old one so I can use both hopefully
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smaller than I expected so suitable for a single shake. Fruit and vegetables get a bit stuck to the blades and one has to turn it upside down a couple of times for it to work.
I bought this after reading a Which review. For the first couple of weeks it worked brilliantly. After about 3 weeks I was following a recipe from their website to make a smoothy with frozen banana and strawberry it began to struggle and over heat and hasn't worked since. If I am honest I would spend the extra and get the Ninja version.
Had the magic billet for 2 weeks, was really excited to get it, smell of burning from motor started fairly quickly, at 2 weeks has totally stopped working. I'm returning it and will not get a replacement, very disappointing as I thought it was going to be great.
I bought the Kitchen Express to supplement a Magic Bullet Smoothie Maker and to replace a large food processor, in order to save space in my new kitchen. I saw some negative reviews prior to purchasing it, but felt that it would still be a good investment. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the wrong choice. The cross blades and cups from the Magic Bullet Smoothie Maker turned out to be not compatible with those from the Kitchen Express, so I had to purchase 2 additional cross blades in order to make it workable. It subsequently turned out that 2 of the 3 cross blades were not water tight, leaving me with smoothie all over my worktop. It was really hard to get the smoothie maker on and off the base too! I've obtained a refund for the 2 extra blades and will now have to go back to using my original Magic Bullet Smoothie maker for smoothies. The Food Processor functionality works better but, as other reviews have mentioned, you can't use it for more than a minute before it starts giving off an electrical smell. The size is ideal for what I need though, so I am keeping it for that reason, but I would not recomment the product and won't be buying another one!
I am not sure why but this thing overheated more than any other blender I've ever used. It shuts off right in the middle of my smoothies all the time. It's hard to do anything and I always have to wait for it to cool down to make the rest of my drink. Usually doesn't last longer than a minute. 😭😭😭😭😭 I even bought extra cups for it because my last one was so good. This one is not the business. It barely works.
I bought this 5 days ago and already is not working! Dead! I thought it was my outlet- moved and no it wasn’t! The thing died after daily use for 5 days. I make a morning shake daily. Recently my vita mix got a screw loose after like 8 years of daily use so until I could fix it, I got this, never again.
