Magic Chef 1.6 Cu. ft. 1100W Countertop Microwave Oven with Push-Button Door in Black, New

This microwave is the perfect size to go on my kitchen counter. I don't have space for the type that goes above the cooktop. It holds a casserole dish as well as my smaller containers. It is easy to use, too. I really like it and think it was a great buy for the money.

I am very familiar with this item.. It gets high ratings for reliability from most professional reviewers and my personal experience agrees with those reviews. This one was an exact replacement for a previous Magic Chef that lasted ten years of daily use

This microwave is significantly quieter than our previous one. The power level is lower than our previous microwave at only 1,000 watts and therefore doesn't heat food or liquids as quickly. However, it is not objectionable. When I heat a cup of coffee using the Beverage function, the timer runs for only 90 seconds and the coffee it is not hot enough. I heat it for about 20 more seconds. I would have thought that the designers would have set the reheat times longer since the power rating of the unit is lower. Also, the child lock function was easy to disengage at the start, so it was nothing to be worried about. I had read reviews of other brands where the child lock function was a nagging problem. Overall, I am pleased with the unit and would buy another one, if necessary.

Numbers 7, 8, 9, %26 0 are blacked out on the white microwave. I had to paint the numbers on the control panel. I deliberately went to WalMart this am to look %26 see if I got a reject. If I had known this I would not have bought it, The black models all the numbers show.

i didn't notice until weeks later, there was a dent on the side of the microwave. I wish the control panel was lighted. can't see anything in low lit room.

The unit is very noisy. The turntable gets knock easily off track and it's hard to line up with track when reinserting it. Part of the number buttons have shorted out and gone dark.

I bought a Vissani (Magic Chef) and they would not honor the 8 year magnetron warranty only offered 40% refund, had to buy Magic Chef only and it's identical to the Vissani, no confidence that it will last and have not received the refund

I have not used this microwave yet. Got it because my mom had a magic chef forever and it worked fine. However, Diddlydeals sent me a black one and I specifically ordered a white one. It said white on my order. Now I cannot return this to a Walmart store, which would've been easy..I have contacted them for over a week through my Walmart app and email, called them three times, no answer no response whatsoever. When I call their messaging service hangs up every time after I give my name and request information about how to make a return. From now on, I will avoid Diddlydeals, because when it comes to returns that are important to the customer they don't do diddly..
