Once you get the ice machine going the ice is made in like 15 minutes or less down side is it heats up and ice melts but more gets made to but over all I love it
Greatest Little ice maker ever. Fast, efficient, and easy to set up! Ice in minutes for the crew!
We ordered this unit as a replacement for a larger Magic Chef unit that failed after nearly 2 years. It was the longest that any of the various brands of counter-top ice-makers lasted. This machine makes ice VERY fast. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it is the smaller size machine which comes with a smaller ice storage bin. It appears to make ice as fast (or faster) than the larger machine, but if you have several people using ice, they will constantly empty the basket. The pump also got noticeably louder after the first few days. We have had at least 12 different machines over the past ~9 years. The Magic Chef versions have outperformed the others.
Really like this ice maker. Would have given it a 5 star but the ice cubes are not solid ice. It makes ice fast.
We bought this to make ice for our refrigerated cooler that we take camping so we wouldn't have to continue to buy ice, but the ice melts too quickly to serve its purpose. We should have invested in a more expensive cooler. It does great at home for family get togethers though.
This ice maker makes bullet sized, thin ice every 6-7 minutes and when done I put leftover ice in gallon freezer bags and place into my freezer to always have some on hand. Will make about 25lbs a day if you you stay on top of it and empty the ice out once completed making because if not the ice melts rather quickly and will just drip back down to be refrozen again. Store the made ice in gallon sized freezer bags and you can't go wrong. Just remember to keep the unit clean and the filters as well. Worth every penny spent on it.
We received it promptly from Jet. It works great spitting out cubes in a flash. Small enough we'll take it in the RV. I only gave it 4 stars because of the size of the large size of the cubes LOL. I can't imagine what the small cubes look like. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Got this and followed in structions and then i put water and plugged it in and it would not make ice cubs and had the scoop missing from it and it smelled like it was burning and it wasn't cooling at all, I will try again and get one hope that when i order it wont be so greasy like the last one when i pulled it out of box, then maybe I'll give it a better review cause i love that it recycles water back and makes more ice cubes.will order this machine again soon.
The ice is wet so I melts really fast. The ice melts in the ice maker so if you don't use it right away it may melt and then you don't have any when you need it. I tried bagging it up and putting it in my freezer but then itsI tried bagging it up and putting it in my freezer but then it stuck together since it was wet
Unit is defective, makes only the small cubs, not the large. And there was no warranty card with it.
