Very pleased with this order of 6 frames. They arrived in a self contained, tight, form fitted box. They are in pristine condition.I used one right away.First removing the outer plastic wrap, and then the plastic film protecting the Plexiglas. I flipped the frame upside down and removed the 4 frame parts away from the Plexiglas, then lifting the layers of paper and cardboard ,I inserted my poster and then replaced the paper and cardboard, and then finally and carefully installed the frame pieces.Happy with the results.
I ordered 8 of these. All came in fine. I would definitely reorder these in the future, though I do wish they had a white option, too. The way these work, in case it's not clear from the pictures, is like this: The whole thing is quite light, which I think is a good thing. There is a somewhat-thick cardboard backing that has both horizontal and vertical frame hook "teeth". So you can hang these on a wall in either portrait or landscape orientation. There is a clear sheet of (styrene?) that covers the picture you place between it and the cardboard backing. Finally, there are four black plastic c-shaped rectangular "strips", one for each side of the frame, that slide over the cardboard, picture and styrene. One tip that I came up with while putting in the pictures: The styrene sheet has a removable piece of plastic that covers most of that sheet. Some frames had this peel-off plastic layer initially on the outside and on others it was on the inside. No sweat. But if you to avoid dust or other particles on the picture, I peeled off the plastic and then used that now-exposed side as the side to put into contact with the photo. In other words, peel off the plastic and then use that side as the "inside" of the frame with the other side facing out. Overall: Obviously, these are not intended to be used in the Met and they are rather plain. But for home use where the goal is simply to "get the picture", this does the trick and with no worries about broken glass and no need for extra mounting gear, etc.
Having read the prior reviews, I was pleased to find that my frames were not broken or cracked as some other customers were. These are very simple frames, no frills, but completely serve the purpose I needed which was for my young son's sports poster. If you are looking for a better quality, longer lasting frame for something important, you may not be satisfied with this. Otherwise it looks fine and met our needs
This size was hard to find at a low price but this was a disappointment, wish I had spent more for better quality. It arrived with a broken corner. I kept it because the black edge hides most of the broken area. It’s ok for a dorm room or maybe kids room as it’s cheap plastic.
This is the one you take of the edges and clip them back kind of frame. Knowing I shouldn't expect muchfor how much I pay for, but my frame's front covering came in chipped, disappointed. I again have to use some tape for my framing. I think walmart should have better packaging training. Having a huge box with more spacing is just giving more room for motion and break the product. Should have use a smaller box and better cushioning.
Purchase these for my son's posters, I didn't expected the highest quality, but they aren't even fair quality. The back board and plastic front don't fit tightly together leaving a gap and making the posters have 'waves' in it. I will be purchasing better quality frames, but these will due until then. Don't waste your money.
You get what you pay for. It is an extremely basic poster frame, consisting of a cardboard backing, plastic sheet, and four detachable black frame pieces. When I received it, the plastic sheet had small dents all over it, creating very visible marks everywhere. I was able to request a replacement product, but this time, one corner of the plastic sheet was chipped and bent. Is the purchase of a product without flaws too much to ask for?
The first frame was just in an envelope ( this was approximately a 3 foot x 2 foot frame) cracked side to side, front and frame. The replacement arrived very fast. Also just dropped on an envelope it cracked. But after taking all packaging off it had two sides with thumb size chips broken out. Very disappointed to have such bad results. You need to at least throw a single layer of bubble wrap on these.
I needed a few poster frames and didn't want to pay a whole lot. I did NOT want frames that come in pieces, and I had no idea that that is exactly what these are. They say that they're so easy to use, but they lie. They are tough to use because when you insert your poster and then attach the pieces, the edges of your poster will get ruined. And the corners do not match up when you put the poster in, though they do meet when there's nothing inside it. And to make matter worse, they put a sticker on there, telling you to remove the plastic coating. The plastic coating comes off nicely, but that stupid sticker leaves a nasty residue that's impossible to wipe off. If it were glass, it would come off, but now I'm stuck with 2 ugly poster frames that have ugly residue on the front. They're not worth the price. Maybe they should be sold at dollar stores, but even then, a dollar would be too much. Never again.
I would have put 4 stars for this product but it came damaged...obviously it was damaged before it was put in the package because there is nothing wrong with the package. very disappointed because now I have to return to the store and wait for another to be delivered! Annoying!
