Mainstays 20-inch 3-Speed Box Fan, Model# FB50-16HL, Blue

I bought this fan for my eight-year-old son who has trouble falling asleep at night. He has severe ADHD and anxiety. He lies awake in fear of every little sound he hears through the night, thinking its a monster or some other intruder. His room also has poor circulation making it even more difficult for him to fall asleep because it gets so stuffy and hot in there. This fan is beyond great. My son breaks everything he touches, but this fan is very solid. On the highest setting it creates the perfect amount of white noise, effectively blocking out most of the odd nighttime sounds, allowing my son to quiet his mind and relax. Also, my son's bedroom is actually cool and breathable now. No one can sleep when they are hot and sweaty. I thought the color was tacky, but its actually a very vibrant and beautiful blue. And lastly, I like that the holes on the fan are small because I have a toddler. I don't have to worry about him sticking his fingers in it and getting injured. Conclusion: There is no point in spending 10 more dollars on a different brand box fan when this one is just as good, if not better. I plan on buying two more for my other children. This was a great purchase.

An amazing fan! A little loud but boy does it push air. Even at the lowest setting it pushes more cubic feet of air than a similar box fan at highest setting. Its gorgeous, and its "feet" slide out and are very stable. I bought 2 more after a month of this fan being amazing with no signs of quitting

So I bought the same brand of fan about five years ago and it's honestly still running strong. I bought a different brand for my second room and it was terrible so I came back to this one. I love the updated model. The legs on it are so much better than the original. There's no worry of tilt at all but even if it did, the new knob being in the corner notch makes a huge difference. Tons of airflow. I do wish the fan blades for a little bit bigger, though like they were on the older model still really nice and definitely worth the money.

Such a great fan works fine by me will recommend as well as order again.

I purchased two of these Mainstays box fans in blue. They are decently​ powerful more so than other plastic blade box fans. The built in feet on the bottom of the fan are a plus. The down side is the fans are extremely difficult to disassemble for cleaning seriously should have a better design such as simple screw's to hold the gaurds on rather than one screw on the bottom and difficult plastic snap tabs! For this reason I deducted one star from the fan.

This fan blew out the coldest air of all my fans. I absolutely loved it. It is a little noisy. It stopped working last night. I have only had it for two months I'm giving it for stars just because of the cold air blows. They need to improve this model.

It moves air OK. It is pretty. I will not use it as intended because it is very loud on low setting. IMneverHO it is a design/manufacturing flaw. The whole front and back plastic grille looks like it was designed to make a lot of turbulent noise. Folks wanting it for white noise can keep it in the basement! I have an old Lasko that is getting a bit loud, this was intrended to be an improvement. It is a lot louder. New Laskos are louder than my old Lasko and this one is louder than a new Lasko. (this is not a new quest that I am on) It moves the air OK, did I mention that? :-)

Did not come with the little support legs on bottom not in the box not made on it. I ha e to propitonawall etc to use the it dont work good cuz not good air flow if against a wall. I got 1 blue and 2 purple. If wasnt an inconvenience I'd want a refund. Not happy
