Mainstays 2.5 Quart Double Wall Clear Acrylic Pitcher

This is a beautiful pitcher. The double walled Design helps keep my drinks cold in the pitcher. I really love the fact that the lid is snug and doesn't just fly off. I usually use it to make lots of ice coffee lol. The fact that it is clear it will match any of your other table setting. It has an easy to pour spout that doesn't leak all over the place. I would recommend this item. It makes a great addition to my summer table settings

This pitcher looks great, is very sturdy, and is constructed with a double wall. This will keep my water, tea, and juices very cool. I live in AZ were it is very necessary to stay hydrated all year long, but no matter where you live, if you enjoy a refreshing cold drink, this pitcher will do the job! It is 2 1/2 quarts and will be perfect for entertaining. The pitcher top has an opening for easy pouring as well.

Great all around pitcher. Sturdy and attractive. Buying from the store. Do not order online. Over half of my order of 35 were packaged so badly that they were broken and scratched. I had to return them and scramble to 4 Walmarts to try to replace them for the project I was trying to do. Very frustrating, disappointing and cost me time and money.

I recently received this pitcher “Mainstays 2.5 Quart Double Wall Clear Pitcher” as our other pitcher is old, flimsy and it was time to get a new one. The pitcher has a nice look with ribbed siding, not too heavy and can hold 80 fluid ounces. It has a thick, clear wall which makes it very sturdy and helps keep cold drinks cold. It is a good size when it is stored in our refrigerator, not too wide or tall. The lid easily comes off and will allow your drink to pour through or you can block it. When pouring, the hole in the lid that the water goes through is a bit small. You would either need to pour slowly or just take the lid off. We tend to take the lid off. The nice thing is that when you set the pitcher back down after pouring, the water or drink you have in it does not trickle down the spout outside of the pitcher, so less messes. One thing I do not like is you can see a line where the pitcher was put together. Overall, it is a very nice pitcher that will get a lot of use from us.

Seal around spout broke within three months, making the double wall useless. The break will let in water and allow mildew to grow, so the whole thing has to be thrown out.

I order a gallon picture for $5 and was sent a2quart picture for a lot more money like $16 the picture is good and heavy put it's not what I wanted or needed

This mainstays double wall pitcher looks very modern with the ring type design around the body of the pitcher. The lid doesn't function too well. The lid has 2 nice indents to grab it easily with your fingers. However, the lid doesn't spin around at all in order to close (not allow liquid to pass through) or open (allow liquid to pass through). I had to lift the lid off and replace it each time to pour. The place where the liquid comes out doesn't have a strainer to strain out ice or infused items. It has instead, a v shaped opening. So ice and infused small fruit can pass through and you have no way of stopping them. I made sangria with ice and we had the pitcher sitting outside in the humidity. After about 30 minutes the condensation formed and is now stuck inside between the walls of the pitcher. The handle is shaped well and easy to grab. It says dishwasher safe, but in the small print it says top rack only. Unless you have a commercial size dishwasher, there is no way you can fit this pitcher standing up on the top rack. So, I have to wash it by hand.

The lid of this pitcher is very difficult to get on and off, so you cannot just turn it to close it. The opening and spout are not shaped for smooth pouring, I can smoothly pour water from a gallon jug into a sports bottle without spilling, not with this pitcher. It just doesn't make sense, a complete waste of money.

I bought two of these a few years back and used them daily for iced tea. They were excellent. When it was time to replace the old pitchers, I bought two more exactly like them. The order came with one missing lid and one warped lid. Wal-Mart graciously replaced those, and I have again been using them daily. Unfortunately, after only a few months, the seal has failed and moisture has gotten inside the insulated portion. Very disappointing.

I ordered the pitcher with the insert for ice. AND I was NEVER given the opportunity to choose how much I paid the driver. I only received 7 items, the rest is going to shipped, so if it was MORE $3.00...CHANGE IT AND GIVE ME BACK THE DIFFERENCE!!
