This curtain rod looks very nice and was 1/3 of the price of another discount big box store. It looks really sharp with our newly painted bedroom and dark curtians. I will be buying another set in the near future as I have other window curtain hardware I want to replace.
These rods are a beauty and a steal! The weight is heavy enough for heavier black out curtains. The size is wide enough to wear the dont look cheap and flimsy. Easy install. Took me about 10 minutes by myself. I will be replacing the rest of the rods in my house with more of these.
We recently moved and our and our bathroom had a straight shower rod. The tub area must be narrower than it was in our old house and occasionally the shower curtain would stick to the person taking a shower, ew. I bought this because I thought it may make a difference. It really did! Not only does the shower curtain no longer stick to the person taking a shower, the new rod makes it very roomy and makes the area feel luxurious. I am so glad I purchased this shower rod.
Updating the current blinds in our fifth wheel with curtains and these rods check every box. Easy to install. Simple %26 matches our “farmhouse on wheels” vibe perfectly. Price on point for a budget friendly upgrade. Would love to know how to get extra cap ends as I need to have several shorter rods for small windows and would love them all to match! Overall 10/10 would recommend!
It's a hard thing trying to purchase curtain rods over the internet / website because you like to be able to hold on to them and see if they feel 'substantial' and if they will work with the curtains you have. My room has a double french doors to the outside and 4 large windows .... the room is the shape of a hexagon and it gets a LOT of sunlight so I wanted to get some heavy blackout curtains to try and keep the heat out in the summer (and the warmth in during the winter). I was worried because these curtains that I got felt heavy and I wasn't sure if these rods were going to support them. They did without a doubt. I like that the rods are adjustable. I like that they have the center support hooks to distribute the weight. I like that they feel like they are not flimsy, but will hold my curtains. I like that they were reasonably priced instead of the ones I saw at competing stores that were three times the price. The one thing I didn't like was that it was hard to figure out how to insert the 3 pieces together because one end looked like it was an end piece and not a center piece. The directions set me straight and they were easy to install (of course they were, I had my husband do it lol). I'm satisfied with it and would definitely buy again!
Rod assembles in a very strange manner. Doesn't screw together in center, instead has a smaller rod inside that just hangs the two end pieces together. Nothing stable, I had to use Trex heavy duty clear tape to make it work. Guessing the end hooks and screws are supposed to be the stabilizing mechanism…? Doesn't make sense.
For reference: I have had this for 7-8mo. The paint scratches off easily. If it runs against your ceiling or walls the paint transfer is difficult to remove. The anchors that come with it are insufficient and break easily. Though the metal does seem sturdy and I haven't noticed any bend.
I bought this to get a cheaper version of what they sell at target, but the metal is so thin and flimsy that the curtain was bowing. I just could not get past that. I guess you get what you pay for.
The order was 2 days late—no biggie, but when I received the order it was as pictured below. A piece of tape was placed on the rail which made it impossible to remove without residue left behind. Now I have to purchase Goo Gone in order to properly remove the stickiness before it's hung.
Screws are a horrible material and almost stripped while putting them in. Brackets do not sit flush with the wall. Expanders put a huge hole in the wall, even when put in gentle and slow. Flimsy materials. I should've known the price matched the quality - Cheap!!
