Mainstays 6” Medium Firm Memory Foam Mattress, Twin

This mattress exceeded my expectations for the price. It arrived well packaged and expanded quickly after opening. The 8-inch thickness provides good support while still being comfortable, especially for sleeping on my back and side. The medium-firm feel is balanced, not too hard and not too soft. It offers great value for money and feels durable and well-made. I've been sleeping much better since using it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable mattress.

So I waited a copy of days to post my opinion! Me and hubby were having trouble getting rest ..so I decided to buy this item …let me tell you it is very comfortable. It expanded amazingly well maybe even bigger.. I follow all instructions—- no smell ..All comfortable I got a queen size price was good. Thank you

Excellent!! Soft, perfect when you add a 3 inch egg crate topper, and a bamboo topper! (Bad back). The bed I ordered will tell the tale when it gets here Monday. Otherwise, this mattress alone is well worth the price just by itself. I definitely would buy again, and may do just exactly that. Excellence!!

I'm almost 70 and i need a firm mattress because of a shoulder/hip injury 20 years ago. I love memory foam mattresses because the twin, my size bed, are usually under $100 which allows me to get a new mattress when i need it and that's usually every two years. This mattress isn't the most firm that i have had but it's good. i have a sheet of plywood on top of my box spring so that helps keep my body from sagging into the mattress. i use to buy the 8" but this year i had to see the help of a chiropractor, and they, both doctors, told me to do 6". A memory form mattress usually sinks to half the thickness of the mattress so an 8" will usually create an 4" sag which means my hips, the heaviest part of your body, will sink into an 8" memory foam mattress 4" as compared to only 3" off a 6" thick firm mattress. My hip needs to keep aligned as does my shoulder so i can wake up pain free. As the mattress ages, the pain increases because of the sag. my old 8" wore down into a deep sag that caused pain until i finally replace it, but the 6" only sinks 3" and my hip can handle that depth of sink which makes the 6" a better mattress for my needs. If your body needs firm support always get the thinnest mattress at the sage from use isn't deep. This mattress is good but it's more of a medium firm so i think I'll be buying a new mattress in a year but time will tell and I'll edit this review as soon as something charges. i bought it for $80 which is about the average i spend. i have bought $150 but their were 8"-10" and the same from use was painful because it was so deep. Thinner naturally doesn't compress as much because there's less to compress.

I am not sure about some of the negative reviews. In my experience this mattress is great value. I got the queen size 8 inch and it expanded to the full 8 inches in 8 hours. We still let it sit for about 13 hours before letting my 50 pound toddler sleep on it. It isn't too firm and isn't too soft either. I tested it and you don't sink into it. It just kinda forms to your body nicely. I guess time will tell how long it holds up but I was super impressed with it.

I got the mattresses 2 days later. I unwrapped it sat it on my bed to expand. Didn't notice any chemical smell coming from the mattress itself. I completely removed the plastic packaging. After 30 minutes of expanding it's close to 8 inches, suggested expansion time on the manual says up to 48 hours to fully expand. Will update on firmness but so far the quality feels fair for the price.

is on me I should have got a thicker more firmer mattress but it was for a temporary betting situation cuz my age 74 I don't I won't try to make it work because I hate returning anything but I still got a thicker more firmer mattress but for the price is okay

This mattress never expanded to its full size. I reached out to customer service through the chat option and was told I would receive an email to submit pictures in 48 hours. A week went by and I never received an email. They also asked me if I wanted a refund or wanted to return the mattress. I called customer service and they said they couldn't pull the chat and that they could give me a $25 refund. I purchased one of these a year ago and it was firm, and expanded to 10 inches. This is not even the same mattress!! Really disappointed with the customer service and I wouldn't recommend this brand again.

I can not believe this mattress is advertised as 8in We actually unpacked it and let it sit over 30 hours . 2inches exactly on ruler, extremely disappointed as most mainstay items are somewhat good. This was not one of them. Very frustrating as we now need to see how to return.

This is not a true 8 inch mattress. It does not inflate properly even after weeks out of the box. It is so poorly made that when you sit on the edge of it, you can feel the frame of the bed beneath you. I tried to return this only weeks after buying it, however, it is impossible to put a mattress in a box for shipping. I tried to have it picked up, but they kept sending people with cars. Those people kept canceling my returns. Finally, I decided to try dropping it off at the store myself. Then, much to my Surprise, my local store informed me that they refused to take my return at all. Evidently Walmart doesn't back its own brands and they make it impossible for you to return one that is poorly made. I will never buy another mattress from them again.
