I had a $40 blender I NEVER used .. I had a baby and used couple times to make baby food and it burnt out. I got this cheaper one and has worked just fine ! Buy it! Here I made baby angus beef , sweet potato and cocoyam and came out smooth As purée !

This turned out to be a lot better than I thought that it would be. I was somewhat amazed by this blender. The container is plastic, but it is very dishwasher safe. When I first got it I soaked it in hot water & dish soap just to be safe (as the directions state- don't turn it on with soap it for obvious reasons). So far I've chopped several trays of ice & some coffee beans. For an inexpensive blender, this one hangs in there with the big dogs. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love the Mainstays 6 Speed Blender. The power and speed of this blender is phenomenal! Whether you like things softly blended or full on liquified, this is the blender for you! I have used it for smoothies, shakes and crushed ice and everything came out perfect. I love the multi speed, it's useful for anything you need to blend. The color, shape and size is great, you can fit it anywhere in your kitchen. The blade is very sharp so definitely be careful when cleaning. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family!

I make my protein shakes with it. It really works well. I have only blended almond milk, protein powder, and bananas in it, but it definitely gets the job done! My drink always comes out smooth and well blended. The blades are sharp and never leave large pieces. The noise level is moderate. Very easy to clean.

This is a great basic 6 speed blender. The pitcher holds 48 Oz and has 5 continuous speeds and a pulse speed. I love the black design of this blender and how there are measurements marked on the pitcher. The top has a removable cup for measuring or adding ingredients. So far it has blended my smoothies with or without ice pretty well. This is a great addition to my kitchen appliance collection.

Perhaps good for mixing wet ingredients only. But power-wise, it is weak and becomes weaker when ingredients are added. The main issue was that the blades are raised away from the bottom so a lot collects under there and goes unmixed without a lot manual stirring, even if ingredients are added while it is running. Not for me. I like a powerful blender for smoothies with many different textures of ingredients and when you add ice to the mix, a blender has to have power.

Started leaking after 2 weeks, stopped working totally after 3 weeks. This is exactly why I decided to go with a $16 blender, because I knew if this happened to a $40 model (which it will) I'd be upset. I think it was the frozen whole strawberries today that blew the motor out, so this is not a good choice for frozen fruit or smoothies.

Arrived with bottom of blender shattered below the electronic circuit board. The exterior Walmart box and Mainstay's blender box weren't damaged, so I'm not sure how the damage was done. Could it have been shattered before it was packaged in the Mainstays box? How cheap does a blender have to be to shatter in a relatively undamaged box? The return process is a little sketchy too. I don't have a printer so Walmart Customer Care told me he would escalate the return and a paper label will be mailed to me. I had scheduled the Fedex pick up in three days from the call. Somehow I don't think Walmart will be able to mail a label to me in time for the scheduled pick up. When I asked if Fedex could print the label at pick up, I was told no. Am skeptical about this return and refund.

I bought this bcuz I needed a cheap blender fire smoothies that worked and I read a review, it said, "only good for smoothies" Well perfect! I thought.... Well, after chopping my already SMALL FROZEN fruit pieces, I added water to the blender first (above the blades, as it says I had too put that much.) then added the fruit, which filled it just over half way. Turned it on and within 5-6 seconds, it stops spinning and is stuck, you can hear the motor winding loudly. I mix everything with a spoon, shake it and turn it upside down, trying to remove anything that might be stuck and put back on and turned it on. Repeated this 4 times before I had a DECENT consistency and a mess. It's not worth $5!!

We thought the bottom was stuck! But the blades are apparently not meant to be removed. How stupid is this? We bought this mostly because the color fit with other kitchen items. Thankfully we have our reliable Oster blender which - like every other blender ever developed - enables you to remove the blades. So this pathetic import will go to the Humane Society Thrift Store. WalMart sells so many good products but every once in awhile . . . And it begs the question how lousy does an item have to be before they remove it from their inventory. At least there should be a CAUTION: Blades cannot be removed - good luck cleaning this junk!
