Mainstays Backpack Laundry Bag with Mesh Pocket, Arctic white and Soft Silver

First I would like to say that I was not expecting this type of bag. This bag is a nice size to place a lot of clothes in. Great for college students or a good gift for a parent with a new born or toddler. You can be creative and use this bag for groceries (just make sure you don't hurt your back) or use this bag for toys. You can put your detergent and or bleach in the front. I would recommend this laundry bag to anyone.

This laundry bag is made of printed heavy poly that looks and feels much like cotton duck -- only it is more durable. We have hung this on the inside of our closet door in the RV camper as a dirty clothes hamper. When full, we just grab it, sling it over the shoulder or toss it into the back of the car and head to the camp laundromat. This would be a great way for kids to have a dirty clothes bag in their room and responsibility for bringing them to the utility room. I can think of many uses in and around the house for it. Great bag with ample room for dirty clothes. A nice pocket for wash detergent is on the side.

I love this bag. I normally carry my dirty laundry in a regular clothes basket. I never considered using a bag before. This bag is very convenient. It's large so it can store a lot of clothes. It has adjustable straps. The materials are nice and sturdy so I should be able to use it for several years before I have to buy a new one. It is a lot easier to carry this bag up and down the stairs of my home. I will definitely continue to use this bag in the future.

My wife selected the Mainstays Backpack Laundry Bag with a mesh pocket, and I was pleasantly surprised on how much she really liked it. "I tried out my new Mainstays laundry bag last night for the first time and, WOW…why didn't I get one of these years ago? This laundry bag easily holds a full load of laundry with room to spare. After you cinch the drawstring it can be tucked into the bag for safety. There's a nice sized pocket on the outside big enough to carry a bottle of fabric softener. But the best part is the backpack type adjustable straps. It makes it so easy & safe now for me to go up and down several flights of stairs, and I no longer have to carry a heavy and awkward laundry basket in front of me, and worry about not being able to see where I'm going. This Mainstays Backpack laundry bag would be ideal for camping, vacation, college students, and a plus for any home. With the double straps and drawstring, you can also carry as a duffel. I definitely recommend this laundry bag, not just for value, but also the safety and comfort in carrying full loads, it just makes sense."

I love this bag. It's quite handy for my guest bedrooms. Because it's so compact, I can keep it in the guest bath. Doesn't take up so much space like laundry hampers do. I keep mine in the guest bath. When guests are ready to leave, they can toss their towels and sheets in the bag, so it's easy for me to carry (well, sometimes toss) the bag with me to the laundry room. Seems very sturdy. I've had a full set of queen sheets, 2 large towels and 2 wash cloths in the bag.

This bag is so efficient and very well made. I love the backpack straps that make it easier to carry and also the mesh pocket for additional items that may need to be carried. I definitely recommend the very durablel laundry bag. Mainstay is a name I have always been able to trust for quality products.

This laundry bag hold a large amount of laundry. I like the attached, smaller mesh bag to hold extras like stain remover or dryer sheets, or smaller bottles of detergent/fabric softener. The drawstring closure helps keep laundry from falling out, like it can in a regular basket. The choice between the handle at the top, or the 'backpack' straps, makes good options for carrying the bag. It also is good for fitting in a vehicle for transport to a Laundromat, where a regular basket may have trouble fitting. The only downsides, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the bag is not vented to allow air in if storing laundry prior to washing it, and it is not machine washable. The instructions say it can be wiped down, but not machine washed. Again, if storing laundry until washing it, no airflow and not being machine washable could lead to a very smelly situation. However, for a same-day pack and launder, this bag is great.

Overall I found this laundry bag to be a bit too big for me. It will hold a full load of laundry and then some! The care instructions say to wipe with damp cloth for cleaning but I have but it in with my laundry in a front load washing machine without any problems. I do NOT dry it though (hang to dry). The best part of this bag is the carrying straps. Overall I think this is a nice laundry bag.

This is an oversized laundry bag. It is not made for shorter people; I'm only a little over 5 feet and the clothes sit awkwardly when using the backpack configuration. Backpack straps are not particularly durable; overstuff the bag one time and it will likely rip. Very easy to drag over carpet or non-carpeted floors. Moved 2 loads of clothes across house with this; easily holds 2 loads of clothes. Mesh pocket doesn't hold more than 3 travel-size containers of laundry detergent or something of a similar size. Additionally, if clothes are in the main bag, this takes away from the mesh pocket space; pocket drawstring also loosens with bag movement. Overall just ok for occasional transport, but suits better as a hamper bag, with clothes going into a laundry basket for further transport or directly into washer as needed.

I bought one of these and it made carrying laundry so much easier but it only lasted for a few months before tearing at the top, it was still usable but annoying so I bought a second one after it started tearing more. With one use of the second one, one of the straps tore off and after a second use the other strap tore off and now two uses in and I have no way to carry it comfortably. Not sure I'll buy another.
