Mainstays Dishwasher-Safe 20" Black Griddle with Adjustable Temperature Control

I love the newer design, good, even heating and ease of use; lightweight but still a bit fragile although we've learned (this time) to handle better-with a bit more care. We "Gorilla-Glued" the old one, where the plastic stand parts broke but the glue didn't hold up well; old one still works, though as well. Pretty well priced, too!

I really like this large 20 inch griddle. I love the fact that it dishwasher safe and nonstick and that it has a convenient drip pan. I have owned griddles in the past, but they were not dishwasher safe nor did they have the nice drip pan, making this a much nicer griddle than I've used.

Really good griddle everything I've cooked turned out delicious! I put 4 chops on at a time but you can fit more just rotate them and all I can say is delicious!!! And no scrapes, after use I take paper towel are a rag and wipe it down. My hubby and I just love it!!!!

Just what I was looking for! i want to thank the person that wrote the review tharmt tbe griddle is great, but the drip tray will not easily be removed. she suggested filing down two little tabs and works perfect. I just used an Emory board. So thankful for her review and quick fix .

The perfect cooking utensil for a nice meal. It fries bacon quickly and evenly, you can enjoy that wonderful smell of bacon a sizzling. Eggs are easy and if you like your yoke unbroken then look no further. Pancakes are a breeze and unless you mess up the toss (like I did, LOL) then they come out nice and round. You can even make them with fruit and it’s no hassle. Only drawback is that the power cord is way too short, and like most cooking grids it will smoke ! A longer cord will allow one to use under a exhaust vent and avoid the alarms going off. This one lone flaw shouldn’t cause one not too consider this as a candidate for your kitchen.

I said I liked the quality but it getting hotter at the corners shouldn't be. I expected even heating on any temperature. That's why I said I disliked the heating. I had the heat set for pan cakes, about medium. They didn't burn but got a darker brown. I liked everything else about this griddle.

Love it. However, the slideout drip tray is a problem. The notches (2 on each side) are the issue. Upon pulling out the tray the notches make it harder to pull out as the grease will spill every where (hands and clothes). I understand this would be to keep it from slipping out, but I should not have to clean up more for such an easy fix. I remedied this by gently filing down these (4) notches about 1/2 way. It now slides out without problems and won’t fall out during storage.

Im giving them a 3 Star, Not for the Walmart. But for Griddle in shape it was in box. But cuz of received this in the mail, took it out of box. It wasn't level. Then found the one leg was broke off. I called Walmart to let em Know, They were great. The came an picked up this, and sent me another one with in a week.

It looked great and heated perfectly but after washing it and using for the 1st time I had one problem and it was a big one: it made the food taste like chemicals. I washed it in warm soapy water and rinsed it thoroughly and dried it before I used it so it's not because of that. I made bacon and pancakes and the bacon tasted fine but bacon has such a strong taste you probably wouldn't notice the problem. The pancakes had a very definite chemical taste which must have been from the surface of the griddle. It was so bad that I'm not keeping it. I know better brands don't have this taste, so I guess the lesson is don't go cheap on something you prepare food on - who knows what bad effect on my health that taste was warning me about

I ordered two of these for an event to make grilled cheeses. Given the dimensions, up to six grilled cheeses should have been able to be made at once, per griddle. Excited, then disappointed because they did not cook evenly, only cooking the part that was located where the heating element was, and they were preheated properly. It states dishwasher safe, however, they dont fit in a dishwasher, which wasn't too big of a deal. But, the bottom plastic breaks easily. I was able to use them both for the event and one, one other time(for pancakes, that didn't cook correctly either), before the bottom portion broke off from sliding out of the bottom cabinet onto the floor when trying to get something from behind them. You buy cheap, you get cheap quality.
