I am now disabled, only have the use of my non dominant hand. In the past when I had the use of both of my hands it was not a problem to break up ground meat with a potato masher. This item is "GENIUS!" I am beyond pleased.
Have seen on many cook videos never owned one. After ordering and using it I absolutely love this tool. Perfect for mashing anything from ground beef to mashed potatoes love love love.
I use this when I fry a burger for chili or enchiladas it actually works very good for scrambled eggs also very happy with those I would highly recommend it
So glad that I have gotten this valuable product. It's great for separating ground beef while cooking. It makes cooking ground beef so much easier for casseroles, tacos and such. Wish that I had found it a long time ago.
I love this chopper. I already had one but decided to get another one for times when I am making separate meals so I didn’t transfer sauces into different pans. This one is by far much better than my original one. This one has more weight to it which in my opinion makes it easier to hold and control. It’s larger and I love the small red scraper on the one side. It makes frying any kind of ground burger so much easier and the pieces break up so nice and small. Every kitchen needs this chopper. It definitely helps getting the job done easier and faster.
I wish I had known there was a tool like this way sooner than I did. I had been using a knife and fork to break up meat, ground or unground before or during cooking and it was a real challenge to get the meat to separate and get the desired texture. But now with this meat masher chopper there is no more of that wasted effort because this tool does the work for me, works like a charm! It separates, chops, mashes, pulls, breaks down any and all meat, ground or unground, cooked or uncooked, and even vegetables. Talk about making life easier.
I had no idea this was even a thing and how much I have needed it in my life. A few times per week we eat ground meat: in a red sauce, sloppy joe, tacos, or burgers. We buy the 1 lb. pre-packaged and this perfectly chops it into four burgers..no more guessing and no more asking, “Which one do you want,” because they’re all the same, exact size. The best part is using this in the pan to chop up the meat..it is so much easier than the edge of the spatula that I’ve been using and I get less hand fatigue in the process. Also, the red bit is a little scraper, so you can get everything from the sides of the pan too. It washes up easily. Again, I had no idea about this thing and I absolutely love it and will never go without another one. It’s so simple, yet really needed.
Let me begin by saying that I have owned many Teflon pots and pans over the years. Alas, when using my stainless potato masher they have been tossed because of scratches. Did I mention that meant a lot of money? The Mainstays meat masher has saved the day. This is lightweight and chops veggies when sautéing, hamburger for Chili and sauces becomes a breeze. The jury is out on its longevity as I have only had it for several days. So far, so good!
This is not just poor quality; it needs to be recalled. it was a curbside pickup order so I didn't really get to look at it until I got home. I noticed shards of red silicone shavings stuck to it, so I scraped them off %26 put it in the dishwasher; only to find more red silicone shavings were stuck to the blades, handle my dishes. If the silicone can't stand a short cycle in the top rack, how is it supposed to hold up touching the bottom of a hot skillet? And as I'm writing this, I'm noticing the bottom edges of the blades have loose plastic that I can scrape off with my thumbnail. Do I recommend it? Yeah, I recommend Walmart do a voluntary recall.
Can’t comment on how it works, arrived broken and the parts that were broken off were not in the package. This means they knew it was broken and supped it anyway. Makes me think it’s not very durable, wouldn’t recommend.
