We’re very happy with the six pack of Mainstays Square Pathway Lighting Set. Each light is just 5 lumens, so it’s not overly bright, but they’re definitely bright enough to light up the pathway to our front door. It’s now much easier for our friends to spot our house at night. The assembly is pretty easy and once assembled they actually feel pretty durable. The stake slides out of the bottom of the post and just pops in, and the post simply slides onto the solar lighted top. Remember to pull the orange tab out of the battery compartment before assembly, because I don’t think it’ll be too easy to pop the top off once assembled. Also, make sure to put them in an area that’ll allow them to get enough light to charge the battery. They come well packaged and have a good instruction set with them so you shouldn’t have any problems with assembly. Overall, we’re very happy with them and hope to get long use out of them. I’ve attached a couple of photo’s so you can see the packaging and the assembled light. I’ve only had them for a few days and really like them, but I’ll be sure to post an update on longevity and reliability after they've been out there for a few months, but we’ve had pretty good luck with most Mainstays products, and I expect we’ll have good luck with these too.
These lights are great for lighting up the path! I have them in my rock garden around my house. The roof goes over a little, so I was not sure if they would get enough sun to work, but they do! They look great and light up the path really well! It helps people find my door in the night better! They also look really classy! They look great and bring a lot of personality to my yard! I highly recommend this set!
The lights arrived undamaged. All the parts and instruction sheets were present. All six lights lit when the tabs were pulled from the battery compartments and they assembled easily. I did find it easier to press on the top edges of part B to secure them to part A working around the top edge instead of turning the entire part. I placed the lights around the back deck because it gets very dark in back yard on moonless nights. The ground here is hard and rocky so I 'pre-drilled' holes with an pointy digging bar instead of wetting the ground. The lights were off when I planted them, when I checked them after dark they were all on. In the morning they were all off again. I don't know if they were on all night. It's been a week since I placed them and they all are still bright and working without problem. I like that the rechargeable AAA batteries are replaceable behind a snap cover. As shown in the picture they light the edge of the deck nicely. The remaining 3 lights are on the other side of the deck.

I have purchased many solar lights and most felt flimsy and didn't last long. These Mainstays lights feel sturdy and somewhat heavy for solar lights, so I was impressed right out of the packaging. Easy to assemble. Directions said to place in sunlight for 8-12 hours for optimal performance. I was surprised to see them shining brightly after removing the pull tabs. I put them in my yard at 5:00 pm and now after dark, they are shining brightly . They may not shine all night but I am pretty confident that after a day in the sun, they will be. They're very pretty and love them in my backyard.
These are exactly what my garden bed needed. The 5 lumens create just the right amount of light and give that enchanted aura appeal without overstimulating the senses. I spaced them close to 3 ft apart which allows the spread of each lantern to kiss the light put off by the neighboring light. The light spread is delightful and the square design creates a . The stems are the perfect height and reach above my stone edging to shine across both sides. The packaging was secure so none of the lanterns were damaged. Assembly was simple enough that my 5 year old was able to help me assemble them. The stake is housed inside the stem, just flip it around and reinsert it and then slide the stem into the bottom of the lantern housing. Remove the orange tag to activate the batteries. I set mine up in mid afternoon which allowed for plenty of charging time and was able to enjoy the splendor that same evening. Over the past 7 days, my sprinkler system has not affected their performance and I have not found any standing water inside the lantern housing. I'd like to add that my system was having issues and going off every day this past week, so they were exposed to excess water for 6 days in a row with no complications. I recommend these lights to anyone looking to add soothing ambiance to their garden or soft light to their walkways. You will be happy with the results.
Nice lights. Easy to put together. I haven't seen them at night yet as I don't go outside when it's dark ad I have--skunks, raccoons, deer, coyotes, and mountain lions.
The product is quite good. I am quite satisfied. The lamp size is average. The lamp also has a battery. I bought it at a sale price so it was very cheap
These Mainstays Solar path lights were a great value price on Walmart so I decided to replace 18 of my path lights that were starting to look faded and some had quit working. These lights are nice and bright except for two out of the 18 that has not worked yet even though they are in direct sunlight during the day. I am going to check out the batteries and make sure they haven't came loose. They look nice also but they are a bit flimsy. The plastic stakes are kind of hard to get pushed into any ground so we used a stake and hammer to make the holes first. They look like nice quality lights once they are installed even though up close they are a bit more cheaply made but for the price I'm still happy with the purchase. If the price goes down even further I will purchase another set to replace my two that are not lighting unless it turns out to be the batteries.
They ain't as good as the cheaper one with just one lumen that I bought in 2022. It's expensive for 4 pathway solar lights with such a dull/dim luminosity. Not worth!!
