Mainstays Stainless Steel Bowl Grater with Protective Sleeve, Black

Exactly what I needed. Just an old school grater with new wave comfort handles for my arthritic hands. I trust the Mainstay brand and expect it will last a long time.

It works okay for the price. I was looking for a budget-friendly option, and while this gets the job done, it can be a bit tricky to use and takes longer than expected. If you can spend a little more, it might be worth upgrading—but this is fine in a pinch.

The product, in of itself, does the job it was designed to do. However, stating that ‘it hooks over the sides of the bowls' is misleading. I didn't buy it for that reason, so I wasn't disappointed, but others might. It's flat, (for the most part) and therefore fits nicely in the drawer.

It's smaller than I thought (bought online). It works for bars of cheese and such. It's fairly cheap price wise. I feel like it might break sooner than I would be like though. But you get what you pay for I guess.

Difficult to use and flings cheese everywhere, regardless of bowl size used to collect cheese. It's too easy to cut yourself while using. Didn't fall apart though!

I don't remember my grater's having cutting blades going both ways in the past. I realized it when I washed it and it ate my sponge a little. It was more difficult to get clean after use as well. Works fine just wouldn't have chosen it had I seen the cut pattern.

I only got this for cheap to grate cheese for Thanksgiving, as I had made macaroni. Both of my hands were in pain. My wrists and arms too. It was a real struggle trying to grate the cheese. I might've been better off laying cement down; that's just how bad it was. I won't be using it again. I may give it away; I sliced my right middle finger on it and had to hurry and put alcohol and a band-aid on it so my blood wouldn't contaminate the shredded cheese.

This grater is just too small. It's only given about 3" wide grating surface, and a block of cheese is wider than that. It's called a bowl grater assuming you can lay it over a bowl and grate into it. No, you cannot, because it's requiring you to hold onto the grater and bowl with one hand and your vegetable or cheese with the other hand. Just another utensil that I won't use. And the flimsy plastic safety cover is junk.

Red plastic lining broke down in less than 4 months of use and pieces fell into the salad that was being prepared, creating a significant health hazard. This product is dangerous.

I placed an order Thursday 01/09/2025 for a delivery to take place on Friday 01/10/2025. It is now Sunday 01/12/2025 and I've talked to two chat representatives and a supervisor that promised me that my order would be delivered Saturday morning and the supervisor promised me that it would be delivered Saturday day night and I've yet to receive anything. Now I've not eaten in two going on three days because Walmart is holding my money and my food. This is so unprofessional! Now I have to beg others for money so I can eat and save my own live until I get paid! Yall don't know what people are going through and to make me wait for days without my food and don't care if I die is ridiculous! I should send this to the news!
