Mainstays Stainless Steel Covered Dutch Oven, 5-Quart

This is very good quality stainless steel dutch oven.it comes with a lid which has whole to steam comes out which i like. Only pan weight is 3.01 lb which twlls that its not cheap quality. Definitely recommend this product.its made in india i love products which are made in india.

This is my review of the Mainstays 5 quart stainless steel dutch oven.It measures just over 9 inches across the bottom, the height to the rim on the outside is 5 inches.it has 2handles fastened securely on either side. The glass lid is heat and shatter resistant with a stainless steel knob. The lid has a small hole, I guess to allow excess steam to escape. It weighs on my scales at 14.40 ounces, for comparison my favorite 2 quart stainless pot with a large long handle weighs just 4ounces. Heavily made the try-ply base heats really evenly. Being oven and dishwasher safe is a huge selling point for me. It just looks and feels solid. I am impressed with the quality of this dutch oven.

Mainstays stainless steel Dutch oven is one of the best I have ever used not only it eye appealing it also helped me cook the best home made vegetable soup I have ever had, can't wait to try chili during this freezing weather we are having, if you are looking for quality and beauty in cookware I suggest get one soon because I love it.

The Mainstays Steel Dutch Oven is the perfect size for making my homemade sauce, potroast, beef stew and other dishes. It is made with high quality steel, easy to clean and comes with a lid. So far, I made a homemade sauce with meatballs and it cooked it perfectly with easy cleanup. I just used a little dish wash and a sponge and had no problems with cleaning it. Overall, great Dutch Oven by Mainstays.

My new Mainstays Dutch oven is a great addition to my cookware. The stainless steel heats so quick. It's super easy to clean and is a large capacity but still lightweight. Being able to use in the oven is a huge plus and it's dishwasher safe. I would definitely recommend this item. Thank you.

I use this several times a week and I love it!! It does not scratch or stain. Very easy to clean. Very sturdy. You need to add this to your cooking arsenal!

As far as dutch ovens go, this is a pretty solid one. It is a pretty good size. It is a five-quart dutch oven, which will be big enough to feed most families. Like others, it is able to be put into the oven and will heat evenly. I have used it to cook chicken and it came out fine. I did notice that some of the chicken stuck to the pan. I would just make sure to use some cooking spray or something like that. I have also used it on the stovetop for cooking rice. I like that since it heats evenly, my rice came out nicely. It is pretty easy to clean. It's dishwasher safe, but I prefer to wash it by hand. It is stainless steel and stays true to that. The only thing wrong with this that I have noticed is that the knob on the lid catches water inside of it. I just make sure to have it placed upright on a drying rack at a slight angle so the water will come out of it. If you shake it, the water will come out of it too, but it's easier to just let it dry out with time. Other than that this is a pretty good dutch oven.

This stainless steel pot is good for cooking almost anything! It's just the right size, I love how wide and tall it is. The stainless steel design, along with the clear lid, makes the pot look elegant. It's durable and does good in the dishwasher. I've used it for deep frying and boiling. Great product.

I bought this recently, instructions said clean with warm water and mild soap before initial use. I did. Then I boiled milk to make yoghurt and dessert. The inside of the pot turned black after the milk boiled. See the picture what happened. The black metal dust probably as a result of machining.

I purchased this dutch oven on Jan 9, 2022 and on February 21, 2022 the glass lid to my dutch oven has been shattered (see photo). Although the product description claims that this item is safe for oven use, it is not. After placing the dutch oven in my oven to preheat, I heard a loud "POP" and after looking inside my oven, the lid had bust. I'm grateful that my family and I are safe after this incident but am saddened that I wasted money on a product that did not even last two months.
