Mainstays Waterproof EVA Fitted Mattress Protector, Twin

This mattress protector is just what I was looking for. I have an elderly family member with incontinence issues that sometimes has accidents. I've tried other mattress protectors that were so loud and plasticky feeling that you could really tell you were laying on a plastic sheet. This one is a bit softer and doesn't have that feel when it's under a sheet. The EVA plastic is much softer and more flexible than other plastics I have used. Its less likely to crack as well. It keeps the bed nice and dry, and is easy to clean. It goes on and off easily, and easily fits a 12 inch mattress. It's been washed several times and has held up well. Sheets fit well over top of it too. All in all, it's a great protector!

If you have just purchased a new mattress or your old cover has seen better days this is a good buy. It is well made and fits perfectly, I received the Queen. It was fine after I washed it too on gentle cycle, then I hung out to dry as it is not dryer safe.

i know its a waterproof mattress pad but the plastic will make u sweat so u have to put something over it befor u put the fitted sheet so u dont sweat so if its for small kids u would only have to wash the fitted n what u put under i would still purchase cause it saves u from purchasing another mattress

I would not recommend this mattress protector to sleep on. Although it does a great job stopping any liquid for getting to the mattress, it is noisy, and makes me sweat. I prefer a jersey top or quilted top mattress protector. I will say this mattress protector does a better job stopping a liquid than those. I have three kids under five, so we have frequent bedwettings, and this mattress protector stops 100% of liquid. Also, if it does rip (from a child suddenly transforming into a monkey and jumping on the bed), it is easy to see the rip, and patch with duct tape. As opposed to a quilted top, in which you cannot see a rip in the waterproof layer. It is also easy to clean, you simply wipe it off. The washable mattress protectors have to be laundered everytime. If you want an easy, effective, cheap mattress protector, this will work. If you want comfort, you'll have to pay a bit more. This mattress protector is also a little roomy, the plus side of that being I am able to put it over my comforter to protect my guest bed from my cat and my children when they have transformed into monkeys.

I've bought this product 3xs in the past thinking it would help well it does the only downside is it shifts around while on the bed and it's uncomfortable i had to just sacrifice a blanket every night so my little one wouldn't be overheated with just a sheet over the matress protector , it works but it's very uncomfortable and crunchy sounding when moving around.

The pad will save your mattress it is completely waterproof. Also it has a snug fit and definitely stays in place even with shifting throughout the night. But when it comes to comfort this mattress pad is far from that. The sound was even more annoying, sounds like a firm plastic bag. It retains heat as well, my husband and awoke in a pool of sweat. I could not believe it my blankets were literally wet my husband and I had to shower and take that pad off not making it through a full nights sleep.

I have some mattress protectors on a few beds in my house and decided to give this one a try. I really didn't like it because it felt like a cheap plastic bag on my bed. It wasn't comfortable to sleep on and felt hot in my opinion. I like the one on my other beds (I can't remember the name of them...sorry). My other protectors feel more fabric like and are very durable. This one...not so much.

I am surprised at how poor this is. It is the weight and texture of a 1950's shower cap. But unlike the shower cap, it only has elastic on the four corners. Tucking the straight sides under the mattress is futile, they just slide out and hang down. Because the fit is loose, the noise when changing positions awakened the person in the next room. I tried putting it over a standard padded mattress pad but it didn't decrease the noise very much. I poured some water on the fitted sheet and no water touched the mattress, but it streamed out between the sheet and the plastic onto the floor. I think it is going to make a great tarp, though. It is certainly waterproof.

It is very noisy! We have waterproof mattress protectors for our other beds, and they are not as loud. It is like you are rolling around on plastic tarp every time you move. It is a little big for our full-size mattress. It might be meant for a deeper mattress than we have. Id suggest spending a little more to get better quality. I would not buy this again.

Material is not bad. Delivery and packing was on time and intact. Sizes were ok. But there is frill on all 4 corners to slip the covers on mattress is not long enough to keep the covers in place on mattress. Each time getting or coming out of the bed, the covers slipped off of the bed. It was very inconvenient.
