The 50" TV I own originally came with two plastic legs that screwed into either side. Not only did the TV tend to slide around, but the wide spacing of the legs required a stand nearly as wide as the TV itself.
This new stand is significantly more stable and sturdy—the TV stays securely in place. It also includes adapters to fit various flat or curved-back TV models. The base is made of black tempered glass, while most of the other components are metal. Some smaller parts, like caps and spacers, are plastic. Once the retaining clips are screwed in at the bottom, the TV can be lifted without the stand detaching. The screen can be easily swiveled left or right. Instructions were straightforward to follow.
