Analyzing customer reviews...
The Roku Streaming Stick 4K is a compact and powerful streaming device that allows users to access a wide range of streaming content in 4K HDR and Dolby Vision quality. Designed for easy setup and use, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K connects to your TV's HDMI port and provides access to thousands of streaming channels, including popular services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and more.
The Roku Streaming Stick 4K is a popular streaming device that is often available at competitive prices, especially during seasonal sales and promotions. Consumers may find discounts and bundle offers, particularly around major shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. When purchasing, it's important to consider factors such as compatibility with your TV and home network, as well as your preferred streaming services and content.
I was IN the store to verify this item would work for me. I held the item. I had to go online and order the item, go home, and then another trip home and back in in one hour to get the roku at the listed price online.
Bought device online on sale. Took it out of package followed quick install guide and streamed in high resolution quality in less than 5 minutes. All with using the simple roku remote provided on the package.
I like it! Works really well. I've read reviews that stated difficulty setting up with connection issues. I've got two Roku's now on two different tv's. What I had to do on both I'd Houston the device to my phone so it can do an automatic software update with it does right away. Once that's done it will connect to your Wifi.
My TCL Roku TV was just too slow, didn't have enough RAM, and would crash sometimes. At some point they also disabled the audio compressor (volume normalizer). I bought this stick to plug into it and bring it back to life. This stick is faster than the TV ever was and has no problem with RAM. It also brings back a volume normalizer to my system which is totally necessary in the streaming world.
Cut cable due to high cost and never ending broadcast fee increases. Bought the streaming stick because it seemed to have the best range from reviews. Ordered online for the best price then picked up in store. At home it took me 3 hours to get it to work but Roku was great on the phone. The issue was that it just would not work on my wifi guest network. No idea why it sees a difference but I had to run it from the main wifi network. Has great range and works perfectly for older "dumb" TV's. Ordered and picked up a second one for my other dumb TV the next day. Had it working in 10 minutes. Great product. Have had no connection, buffering, or other issues since installation. Why not give the best price in the store rather than make people order them online for store pickup?
Absolutely hate it! I have two others that have no issues. However, this 4k stick disconnects very frequently. I then have to get up and reset or unplug it from to work again. I have turned off the setting under power, and this problem still happens.
when i calked for assistance, i was told i was doing it wrong. The stick was ling abd coukd nit fit in the usb port. they are suppose to orovide an extention attachment fir free of charge, i was not offered one. Very unprecedented ir customer service
This gave me nothing but trouble. Unless you are young and technically savy, this is impossible to set up. I have spent hours on trying to set it up, and still haven't finished. Although it's 4K, even my smartest friend could not figure out how to choose the 4K. I had to settle for standare HD, which I could have gotten for $20. less. I signed up for the free month of Hallmark, but can not use it without a password. I could not figure out how or where to put the password. I could not find a single Roku help phone number for their customer service. This is not intuivite!
I can't rate it because I did not receive it. Instead, you shipped dryer sheets to me, which I have to return. I don't have my Roku stick and it could take weeks to get it replaced. The return policy is not customer-friendly. This should have been resolved immediately.
roku is great. Delivery from Walmart SUCKS BIG TIME.! They delivered to the wrong address and won't talk to me just sent email saying it was delivered and a picture of it in the front porch...NOT MY FRONT PORCH! I told them my house is red brick not Turquoise vinyl but it hasn't done me any good
Yes, as long as your TV has an HDMI port, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K is compatible. It's backward compatible with many older TVs.
Plug the stick into your TV's HDMI port, connect to Wi-Fi using the on-screen instructions, and then sign in to your Roku account. You're ready to stream!
Try moving the Roku closer to your router, restarting your router and the device, or checking for Wi-Fi interference. Consult the Roku support site for further troubleshooting.
Yes, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K supports Dolby Vision, provided your TV and Netflix subscription also support it. Ensure HDR is enabled in your TV settings.
