so easy to set up ! I don't have a smart tv , ny tv is a "55 Phillips . Purchased 15 yrs ago . I just plugged in the Roku stick , using the Roku remote I pressed the home button and picked my streaming channels to subscribe to. I only wish it would allow for my two other tvs. I had to purchase each tv its own Roku . However, I can connect to my tablet and phone.

Pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy this device. Purchased the Roku in order to make my smart TV "dumb". To prolong its lifespan. Very happy I did. The common sense remote design, fluid performance, convenience, and features were more than worth it. On occasion there are some connectivity issues. It seems to be connected to the amount of times the system idles (paused, sitting on but unused). After 3 consecutive time outs- where the screensaver comes on- mine, I've noticed, tends to get a little huffy and drop connection. I'm not mad at it but good to know. With all of that said, I recommend.

Great picture, almost too good! Peoples faces and complexions are actually not as glamorous as other TVs, because you see any flaws on their face. Love the ambiance picture app for the background that it comes with, beautiful pictures. Excellent price for all of this.

It works well like fire stick for now. There's really no comparison between the two. I'm giving it a try. I actually bought it for my sons for their home. There are a couple of things that Fire stick has and Roku doesn't but other than that it does what it supposed to do.

I bought this item for myself I was stunned at how many channels were on for free I love it you pay for it once and then you have the channels forever it's fantastic deal I've actually bought this for three people for birthday presents and they love it too

This is the second units I purchased. Great value with options for different free TV/movie programs. Worked also well in an older TV as well which manufacturer stopped updating the operational system so this stick works greatly to keep the TV connected to the Internet.

we recently left the whole cable scene and bought Roku as a streaming device. it was easy to install and gives us a huge viewing variety. we can get netflix, Amazon prime, paramount, CBS and CBS sports, and lots of great tv programming on it. we love it.

Had a roku device for 10 years. All have been flawless up until this one. It does a good job at locating and holding on to the wifi signal. Much better than other Roku devices but occasionally drops connection to the TV (have to unplug and restart) and the volume on the remote malfunctions. Push "lower volume" button and the volume goes up. Have to go up and down the volume to get it to lower.

Replaced an almost 1 year old Roku box because it was stuck, frozen screen remote wouldn't work. Plugged in this new one and the screen is still stuck. Roku has done this before for over 2 weeks straight…sticks on “A better smart TV experience” when it was on and working fine. Jeff Bezos is selling as much garbage as he can. Have a Hisense Roku TV less than a year old. Just garbage. Plug and play the same frozen screen for $53.53. Tech support is awful!!!

Get an Onn instead Roku is absolute garbage most off the apps aren't even in the App Store like peacock not to mention every other day it resets and I have to start the installation process from the beginning and resign into all my services I have to watch everything through Amazon prime because 90% of all other services aren't showing up it's crazy don't buy this I have 3 onns and another smart tv that has Roku built In and even that is way worse then the onns but atleast that one has peacock this is just junk DONT BUY IT!!!
