Very happy with my purchase!
This is so pretty! More like a decorative piece than fish tank! The self cleaning design is brilliant and its the perfect size for our new Betta. Bought some additional colored "jewels" to mix with the white gravel and some small plants and everything is color coordinated with the Betta's beautiful colors.
It's really cute and roomy for my beta and convenient
Horrible for the beta and convenience. I work alot and my daughter is 1 1/2 it was a christmas present so she wont be able to clean it. It said you wouldnt have to clean it as often because of the âself cleaningâ when you pour the water into the tank. After 3 days of doing this every day i couldnt even see in the tank and also betas are also jumpers after i looked up a care guide and it doesnt have a lid that closes all the way on top. Havent had an incident yet but i dont want to take the chance. Also betas need at least a 3 gallon tank. This one isnt even a gallon. I am exchanging for another kind today. Betas are pets not decorations. It does have a classy look but i dont want the beta to die. My daughter would be very upset.
I really liked the look of this aquarium and thought it would simplify cleaning. Unfortunately I have to empty the entire aquarium atleast twice a week due to a slimy buildup across the top of the water. I even tried changing the rocks hoping it would help. I do not recommend this product and I will be buying a different aquarium for my betta.
it broke an yall did not refund an u did not send me a new tank
putting new water in it to "clean" it does absolutely nothing. the tank is still dirty and has to be cleaned at least 1ce a week. i figured id still have to clean it out but there is no point in having this tank if i can do what it tells me i am supposed to be able to do for cleaning it.
This tank is terrible! I had my Betta for three weeks and she died last night. I did everything that the instructions told me to. This is not "self cleaning" it doesn't flush anything out like it says it's supposed to. It's a death trap and will just make your Betta suffer.
Despite knowing better, I went ahead and bought one of these to try out. It was simple and easy to set up, but it doesn't snap together or anything, so if you plan on moving it, you better have a firm grip on it, or else it could fall apart. The acrylic scratches very easily, which happened just from placing the included rocks into it. The featured design where all you have to do is add more water to the tank to flush out dirty water from the bottom is just a worthless gimmick. If you plan on keeping it and the water clean, you'll still have to take it apart and clean it anyways. Which you will have to do all of the time, because there is no pump or filter to clean the water or keep it circulating. Which will very quickly lead to stagnant water that will need to be changed more often than not. With all of that being said, and despite what most people believe, Bettas do not prefer living in tiny environments with little to no room to move around. Mine didn't like being stuck in this cramped space. I immediately took this apart and got my $$ back. Then I bought a much bigger tank instead; one made of glass, not acrylic, and came with a pump to circulate and clean the water. I was planning on buying a 5 gallon tank, but saw that the 10 gallon tank only cost about $3 more, so I got it instead. I bought some gravel and decorations, as well as a submersible heater to keep the water a bit warmer. Bettas don't do well in chilly water and won't stay as active either. Now my Betta loves his new home, and has been doing much better off. Since then, I've bought some live plants to help balance out his new environment. It may seem counterintuitive, but trying to maintain smaller aquariums is much more difficult than it is to maintain larger ones. So if you want to keep your Betta happy and healthy, then stay away from these tiny excuses for "aquariums" and invest in an actual one. Both you and your pet fish will be much better off.
This tank is bad news! The filter dont work right with the rocks in it. The background is cheep and once it gets wet its damaged. if anything just a mess all around. I would not buy this!!! Do your self a favor and buy the 1.5 gallon cube floating starter kit it comes with a light and filer you just need to buy the rocks and decorations.
