The best thing in a pillow is if it tries to keep your head even with your body. Not higher than your body, not lower than your body because that puts a strain on your body. I have paid a lot more for pillows than this and this is the best pillow I've ever had. I bought this pillow for my son, but then I looked at it. And tried it myself and bought myself one too. I'd like that you can add the foam and I like the soft pillow I like to have the foam in my pillow.

Thickness equates only 4" even with the extra foam piece added. Why is it so hard to find a decently pillow similar to the beauty-rest that used to be available? Unless a thinner pillow is what you are looking for, skip this one.

I try a lot of pillows due to spinal injuries. This was by far the worst pillow I have ever bought. It was like laying on a cardboard box. There was nothing that could be done to adjust this pillow to make it bearable. I requested to return it.
