Maybelline Master Precise Ink Metallic Liquid Liner, Black Comet

Very good eyeliner. Goes on easily with the thin brush, which I really like! Great product.

Great liner. It applies smoothly as a fine line or thicker and stays on all day.

Discontinue Stellar Sand.... I hope you send me a truck load of it!! (Seriously, I won't complain!!) I have all of your precise metallics, but SS is by far my ALL TIME favorite!! I've tried other (more expensive) brands and ALWAYS go back to this color. I've had a hard time finding it lately & actually purchased 4 bottles yesterday “just in case” it was dc'd. #crazyeyelinerlady

I like the product, but I was unhappy with the delivery from a nearby store at midnight which was a disruption to sleep to receive a text that delivery was in process. I phoned the driver to put it in my mailbox rather than come to my house which would have disturbed my neighbor. Then I get a call for the gate code to enter my community. Late night deliveries are unacceptable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Maybellines Precise Liquid Ink liner in shade cosmic purple complimentary from @influenster and @maybelline for testing purposes. Eyeliner is my least favorite part of my makeup routine, I always mess up. This applicator is nice and thin giving you the best precise wing. I absolutely love the purple metallic shade, it helped my eyes look a little brighter compared to wearing a regular black liner. The only complaint I have about this product is you cannot build it up without the product turning patchy. Once you try to apply more or correct your liner the product you already applied will come off. It's a bit frustrating but once your liner is done the shade makes it worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this product I was so excited. It was something out of my comfort zone & I was eager to try it out. At first when I swatched it in my hand it looked very promising, but on my eyelid it was very different. It was a little watery but the wand was super easy to use! I applied one layer and it wasn't very pigmented I applied another and the product kind of came off. I don't know if it was just my product that did this but I wasn't a big fan of it, I will be trying to find a way to make this work because it was very easy to use and I really loved it just wanted more pigment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of the Maybelline Master Precise Ink liner in exchange for a review. I loved the Cosmic Purple color, which has a hint of glitter. The applicator has a nice handle that is easy to get a firm grip on, making drawing the liner into a smooth straight line much easier than other applicators. The only thing I disliked was that if I messed up or needed to go over the line to build it up then I had a smudge, and I had to start over. The product does not "layer" on itself very well. The liner lasted the full 8-hour day, but not much longer, so I disagreed with 24 hours, but I never wear makeup 24 hours anyway, so this is ok with me.

I am writing a preview prior to purchasing this eyeliner. For years I used Maybelline ultra thin liquid eyeliner that is no longer in production. I will come back with my review of this product at a later date. But for now I am very disappointed in Maybelline discontinuing a product that has been around for over 50 years. There are not many cosmetics companies that cater to Black women. However, Maybelline has done just that and now to start removing & discontinuing products that Black women has depending on is an insult. I'll be back with an update once I try this product.

I have always used Maybelline products with no issues. I just bought this eyeliner again 2 weeks ago. I fell in love with it when I discovered it in October. About two hours after I applied it, it caused my eyelid to feel heavy and my eye watered bad. I got home washed it off. Next day my eyelid was swollen and red, so huge! Something is wrong with this last batch, causing irritation. I went a week without applying it, and my eyelid healed back to normal. I applied it again yesterday, and it happened again. This time much worse than before. Now I know it's the eyeliner causing this to happen. I have seen others online state they too are experiencing swollen eyelids. Something needs to be done!!
