I thought it might be too salty, so I put in about 1.5x the ingredients and it was then a tad bit bland. So, the recommended recipe is probably just right. Personally, did not find it hot.

We are a mixed spiced household with my husband leaning toward spicy and me the mild. This was a perfect in between when used to make turkey chili. Nice amount of heat without overpowering the other flavors. Leftovers also tasted great on chili cheese dogs the next day.
