McCormick Kosher Crushed Red Pepper, 1.5 oz Bottle

I really like this crushed red pepper! It adds the perfect amount of spice and flavor to my food without being too overpowering, but definitely some spice. I love adding it to pizza, pasta, and other dishes for an extra kick. A little goes a long way, and it's a great seasoning to have in the kitchen. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!

I have been using these red pepper flakes for 2 weeks now and they add a great taste to all my meals! Pepper is fresh, dry and smells very good! Let me strat by saying that I received this product free in exchange for my review, but that in no way changes how I feel about this product. McCormick is a very well known seasoning and spice brand. The quality of these chili flakes is testament to why. It was fresh and added the perfect kick to my salads and my kid's ramen. I also made a batch of chili oil with it. One word... Amazing!!

These had a great flavor! They were fresh enough to have full flavor and added a great kick to the meals I added them to. I made pizza, casseroles and a few asian dishes that these gave a great heat to. I also loved that these came in a container that would fit well in my spice rack.. so much better than keeping all of the greasy pizza joint packets! The built in holes were the perfect size for shaking these out without going overboard. Its a win.

I absolutely adore cooking and eating, and I make sure to choose every single ingredient myself. I am a big fan of McCormick , they are my go to brand for fresh, high quality spices. Their Crushed Red pepper is my favorite , it is freshly made with good quality pepper and has an amazing aroma. The heat level is just right, and all their spices are non GMO. I also love their packaging and bottles ,they are so easy to dispense spices and keep them fresh. I am completely satisfied with McCormick and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great spices.

I received this McCormick Crushed Red Pepper to try and review, and my husband Ric and I had different reactions. The bottle had more flakes than seeds, and the larger flakes didn't pass through the shaker holes easily, which made it difficult to sprinkle evenly. Ric tasted some straight from the bottle and thought the flavor was weak. He held it on his tongue for a while before getting much flavor. I'm a self-proclaimed capsaicin wimp, though, and the milder kick worked for me! I used it on my steak with basil and garlic, and it added a nice zip without overpowering the other flavors or leaving my mouth burning. Based on our experience, serious heat lovers might find it underwhelming, but if you enjoy a little warmth without a mouth fire, this could be a good fit. I enjoyed it on food; I'd just like the shaker openings to accommodate the flakes better.
