McDavid Knee Brace With Dual Hinges, Black, Adult Small/Medium

I have pretty bad joints overall, and fibromyalgia. I get pain in the joints often, and products like this and the elbow support one from this brand that I also own, are very good for helping pain relief while doing activities. I really love this brace. It’s VERY sturdy, thick, and made with quality material. It helps support my knees and the area around them while I am doing strenuous activity. Definitely good for pain relief and support as it says!

I used this Knee Brace from McDavid with a Dual Hinge Support and Relief on my right knee to help me reduce some of my knee pain while waiting for my Knee Replacement Surgery. I love the saying on the side that says: First thing on last thing off. It is a slide on brace that can velcro tighter to conform to your knee size. It fit comfortably under my jeans and it gave my knee some stability and I had less swelling while using this brace than if I did not use it during the day. I actually have purchased nearly every brand of Knee Brace within a 50 mile radius of my home to try as this is not my first Knee Replacement and this is the ONLY brace that has actually fit on my knee. I was an athlete when younger and have rather large muscles around my lower thigh-always had trouble getting a brace to fit me.

I ordered the wrong size, but my mom has been using it. She recently had a knee replacement, and has been using this on her other knee. It’s adjustable which is great. The size seems to be pretty true to size. They come in different sizes and this is a three which is the max for restraint. It definitely keeps your knee stable. It allows some breathing which doesn’t make it so hot while you wear it. She wears it at night and by morning, she has less pain.

Finally, amazing knee support. I have used several different knee braces throughout the years on both knees. This knee brace is by far superior compared to the rest. Very comfortable to wear due to the material. Easy to slip on and adjust based on need. But the level of support you feel instantly is what made me fall in love with this knee brace. I love the fact that it has two straps that can be adjusted for support and tightness. Often times generic/one-size fits all knee braces are either too tight or too lose depending on sizing. Often times You either get enough support above the knee but not enough below the knee. This knee braces allows you customize based on your need using the built in straps. The knee brace has a 360 degree open knee ring that provides extra support for the Patella. It also has side braces that allow for Lateral support. I also like the fact that each hinge is independently cushioned. The durable, aluminum hinges also come with hyperextension stops. Thus, adding an extra layer of safety. That is feature found on expensive knee braces. Thus, providing a great value of stability. It's very lightweight and comfortable. The perforated sleeve provides heat and sweat management providing a high level of breathability. All while providing great comfort. The material allows for quick drying after washing and/or sweating. I'm 54 and I wear a small/medium Size. I will be wearing this for volleyball as well as softball.

I chose the knee brace for my husband in L/XL size. It isn't eassy to pull on yet once on is providing a great deal of support. It has side metal pieces that are bending with the movement and 2 straps to keep it on place. The fabric is like a diver suit shel very durable.

This knee brace helps relieve the pain in my knee and makes walking a bit easier I use it over my leggings and it stay up and doesn't ease down my leg.

Over the last year I’ve been having some issues with my knee. I tried a compression style nylon knee brace ( without any kind of hinges or hardware) and it was comfortable enough, but I didn’t notice much as far as support. So, I decided to give this McDavid Max Support Knee Brace a try. I definitely noticed a difference in the amount of support this brace provided. It’s good quality, thick nylon and has hinges on both sides. It pulls on over the knee and has an opening that aligns with your kneecap. It has two adjustable Velcro straps so you can tighten if needed, but this sucker is snug! I’m a small female ( 5’6” with a slender/athletic frame) and the size S/M fit me nicely. My boyfriend, however who claims to have “chicken legs”, was unable to squeeze into this brace without it “cutting of his circulation and feeling like it might never come off again.” So, I would definitely recommend measuring your knee circumference before buying. There are only 2 sizes; the S/M fits knee circumference of 12.5-14” and L/XL fits 14-15.5”… I guess if your knee measures larger than 15.5” around then this isn’t the brace for you. While this does provides mega support, it’s not the most breathable fabric ever created. It can be hand washed in cold water and air dried if it gets ripe. It’s pretty comfortable, however the hinges caused my knee to stay in a slightly bent position ( which kinda felt like I was walking on my tip toes on that leg) but with a tiny bit of force, I was able to straighten out my leg. This brace is also bulkier than my previous one and would be difficult/impossible to fit under most of my pants… but definitely not a deal-breaker. Overall, this is a good quality knee brace that provides great medial and lateral support and is still comfortable enough to wear for several hours. If you’re looking for knee support (and don’t have knees larger than 15.5” around) then I’d recommend giving this brace a try!

it is comfortable. the small is small, for sure. It fits my petite wife good, and is too small for me, an average sized guy. if you’re not petite, get the large. it does fit nice, and is comfortable. it definitely gives some support to your knee and I am sure will help her when in need.

Seems to be a good product if you can slide it on but the sizing for this knee brace is inaccurate. The lg/xlg is too small, I had trouble getting my women's size 7 foot thru it and couldn't get it beyond my 14" calf. Not enough flexibility.

I have knee pain when I stand up too long because of circulation problems. I used this sleeve for the first time today. Initially I thought it would be stretchy. When I slid it on, it was so tight I thought it would not slide all the way up. I finally got it in the right position. The material is so itchy and dry. The brace did help with my knee pain but it was so uncomfortable and hard to put on.
