This knife is heavy duty, sharp and a great value. I would definitely recommend it for chopping chicken, bbq, other meats finely.

If you're looking for a fancy addition to your collection of pricey kitchen cutlery, this ain't what you want. Weighing just under two pounds; this puppy could easily split kindling, froe cedar shakes, or cripple enemies. Not the prettiest cleaver on the internet market, but the best value.

This is most definitely the real deal. I'm not going to even talk about how excellent this is for the price, but how this is a professional chef tool. The construction, size and weight is on point with butcher cleavers that cost 10 times the amount of this thing. Must have if you butcher and cleaver

The knife was a lot bigger than I expected, but it has a great build quality and solid, heavy feeling in the hands. The only other downside was that the knife was pretty dull when I first got it, but very easy and quick to sharpen.

Pros: it's nice and big. Good heft. The edge grind is thinner than I expected which means it slices very well. Cons: I wish the product description would specify the steel that this blade is made from and the hardness number. It's just mystery metal. Also, I chose this knife partly because the handle appears to be attached with screws but that is totally misleading because they are actually rivets that cannot be removed by screwdriver.

This is a really heavy cleaver which was encouraging, as it felt like it should cut through anything you need. But. We tried cutting short ribs and it didn't work at all. Will continue to try to use it on other applications but still need to get something else for what we need one for. Price is great but you get what you pay for.
