I have a cheap, plastic electric tea kettle at home, but wanted a nicer one for work. I especially like the blue light that comes on and shines on the water when it is heating - much less likely to forget that it's turned on. Auto-off keeps it from boiling too long or running dry.
I recently purchased the MegaChef 1.7L Electric Tea Kettle, and I'm really impressed! . The stainless steel design is sleek and looks great on the countertop. It's also sturdy and feels high-quality. The kettle's automatic shut-off feature is super convenient for safety. Overall, it's a solid, efficient, and stylish kettle for the price. Highly recommend if you're looking for something reliable!
Very quiet. I love being able to see the fill line. It is in the middle of the pot and not under the handle. I had one before this that was under the handle and I had to keep holding it to the side to actually see when it was full.
This is A Very good kettle. It is Nice looking ins stainless steel and blue light when It is on. The Water is ready rapidly The price is super At 19.99$ it is A Very good Buy.
Nice stainless kettle that has 2 of the necessary things - auto-shutoff and a removable base. This 1.7 L (fill line is .5l minimum) is enough and the kettle is visually appealing. I can't speak for how long this might last but have been using it for 3 weeks so far.
Replaced an old plastic kettle that lasted 20 years! This one is lighter and more compact than I expected despite having the same capacity as the plastic one. For those that have a fear of health risks due to plastic, this has stainless steel construction aside from the see-through water level window and the underside of the lid that makes contact with the water. The corded base has very low profile, is plastic with a cosmetic shiny metallic surround. When heating the water level window and interior is lit up by a blue led which looks cool, and it shuts off automatically. It is a bit louder than a plastic kettle for the first minute or so of heating. Heating time seems about the same. Construction seems solid enough for the price, but the light weight probably means it is made of thin steel, and I would avoid banging it against anything since it is likely to dent. The spout is particularly thin gauge steel. All in all it is excellent value for $20 - only a few $ more than a cheap plastic kettle.
The product feels top heavy and hard to hold when pouring. The silver strip on the handle gets very hot and feels like your getting burned when you pour.
I got this pot last week and I have used it a few times now. I am happy with it so far but it seems to take a little longer than my old one but I think that is because this one is a bigger unit. The only negative thing I have on it is the handle, it could be made so it is a little more hand friendly to where you can grip it better. Other than that, I like it so far and I think after a few weeks, I will get use to it.
The kettle looks appealing when boiling shows a blue neon light, but not a study kettle. lid does not shut tightly. The product was a less expensive choice, but overall it does the job
The kettle keeps boiling and does not switch off automatically. Have to manually switch it off. This is my 2nd MegaChef kettle, and had the same problem with the previous one. I thought I give it another try, but was mistaken. Don't buy, unless it does not bother you that the kettle keeps boiling.
