My grandson loves it!!
My grandson had little interest in writing or drawing until he got the easel for Christmas. Now, when the mood hits him, he draws pictures, “maps” or writes words or numbers. I'm very pleased.

Solid but Sloppy
You can say the materials are solid but the unpainted wood does not seem to be sanded at all. I wouldn't be surprised if someone said that they got splinters while assembling the easel. The plastic pieces seem to be very cheaply made too. Overall though, put it all together and it seems to be a pretty sturdy product.

A quality hit with grandkids
The art easel was great! It was good quality and the grandkids loved it, as soon as it was put together. The only drawback was that the easel involved quite a bit of assembly, and the assembly instructions were a bit unclear and confusing. Assembly took an hour and a half, because the instructions were often confusing.

Disappointed
The wooden legs were bowed and the bolts did. It tighten into the screws. I'm very disappointed.

Piece of garbage
Oh my gosh, I have never had a bad experience with a Melissa and Doug product until now. And we have bought so many over the years. But this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don't know if I'll buy another of their products. Mislabeled parts with incorrect stickers, partially drilled holes, and broken parts. It's so bad. And it was a birthday gift for my little one. So disappointed.
