I love the cat window seat but I think my cat loves it more. she loves to sit in the window and watch all the action but, now, with winter here, I can no longer open the window and she doesn't fit on the sill. This is just the answer we were bothooking for.

I just purchased two of these window seats and they were so well received that I'm back to purchase one more. I have three cats, but didn't think the oldest one would use the window perch so I didn't order one for him. And he was the first one to jump up into it! They were very easy to put together and I had them in two locations of my house within 30 minutes of them coming in the mail. The oldest and youngest kitties were using them right away. And the middle kitty just kept looking at them as if wanting to join them, but they were not sharing. I removed the youngest cat to give the middle one the opportunity to try it out. I wanted to make sure he would use it if I purchased another one and he was up in the window before I even left the room with the other cat. I would say these are a huge hit! I also purchased one of those clear plexiglass bird feeders that suction to the window to place outside the window where these window perches will be located to give my kitties something to entertain them besides just looking at life outside. I can't wait until the birds discover the feeder! I had just moved to a new house that has vinyl windows in it and these perches work beautifully in them. I even tried one on the door from my laundry room since there is a window in the door. It just required a little bit of a different adjustment from the other window and works beautifully. What I really like: 1. No suction cups! I didn't want to risk the suction cups failing and dumping my cats to the floor, possibly injuring them when the perch fell on top of them. Not to mention having them forever afraid to try it again. 2. I like that the canvas seat area is going to be easy to remove and wash. Although as soon as my sewing machine arrives, I am going to make padded cushions with tie ribbons to tie them to the perch to make it just that much more comfortable. Then I can just wash the cushion and not have to remove the canvas at all. 3. I like that the perch curves up in the back, keeping the kitty from rolling off the ledge. I am using these in two different types of windows, one that opens from the side and one that opens upward (the window in the laundry room door) and other than requiring a slight adjustment to accommodate the distance between the lip of the window and the window ledge, they both work perfectly. Oh, and I also just purchased a very nice and very expensive wooden cat tree with one of those clear bowls for the cats to lay in. They were all over the cat tree at first, but now that the window perches are installed, they have not returned to the cat tree at all. I guess they prefer the view from the perch.

This is exactly as I'd hoped for the boys to enjoy bird watching and sun bathing! So perfect, I've already ordered two more! With the window closed, it couldn't be more stable. Though, when the window is open, I worry that the less graceful cat may pull it down if he jumps on it from the wrong angle. Easy to put together, too.

easy to assemble. love the fact that it hooks into the window and you can tighten it to the wall. can move it easily to other windows as it doesn't require any permanent alterations to the house/window. cat sat in it immediately. she loves watching birds from it and sleeping in the sun.

I really wanted to love this item but I had to return it. It squeaks a little from the hinge hooks when any weight is on it and my cat did not want to sit on it when she heard the noise and saw it give a little when I put her on it. Otherwise I really appreciate its cute design and the overall sturdiness of the parts. Assembly was fairly easy. I just think Mewoofun could benefit from posting pictures of the depth requirements for the windows because the description of the item was confusing on the product page. As you can see from my photos, the hinge hook width is about 42cm (16.535 inches) but to account for the wooden bed width, it's a little less than 45cm (17.72 inches). The hook depth is a little under 1.5 inches. Maybe it would've worked better if my window met the hook depth, but make sure to measure your window before getting this item. I do like the canvas material and how it appears to be washable.

Easy to assemble, but didn't fit my window ledge. Nice fabric, seems sturdy if it fits your window.

Everything was well built and sturdy, except the metal window hooks. They are made of bent wire and are not faceted down so they act like springs making the entire shelf unstable. My cat jumped on it and it bounced right off the ledge. The metal hooks should be made out of a solid metal and be permanently fixed to the frame.

This product did not work for my cats for several reasons: It is smaller than it looks in the photos (more suited for kittens), the canvas has no cushioning, cats can't stretch out because the screws stick out on the sides, the window has to be slightly open and unlocked for the metal hooks to grab the inside of the window casing. Overall, not happy with this product. The good thing is it was inexpensive so I'm not too upset about it. I will donate it to Goodwill.
