the institution was quick and easy. it cools our 16x20 bedroom very well. i do have a high velocity fan pointed up circulating the cold air. i have had other, smaller portable ac units, and they didn't produce as much drain water. i wasnt expecting the amount and water leaked out all over the floor by the half gallons. we tried a large bucket to hold the water from the drain off, but because 1 it is gravity fed drain it didnt work well. 2 we picked the unit up to bring the drain hair than the bucket, the bucket would over fill overnight. with those issues it ruined the carpet, padding, and subfloor of our trailer. when we had to replace the flooring, we drilled a hole in the floor for continuous flow of the drain.

I honestly love it. When my Window TCL decided to throttle my window AC to 88 on the days its HOTTEST (or every day technically) I had to get a new AC. Thankfully, this was affordable, cheaper, has more power, and best of all: Doesn't throttle my temperature The only downside I have for it is the drainage. Its fine that its on the bottom, the problem is that the condensation tank is either extremely small or the AC doesn't like to drain very efficiently. As a result, I have to keep it in a location where it can drain and remain cooling simultaneously... otherwise I would spend 5 minutes draining with only maybe 20 minutes of cooling before the tank fills again.

kit is not complete. you have to run to hardware and buy screws for the panels to work. kit should have had all you need to install. the midea window air conditioners only last 2 yrs. hope this roll around midea lasts longer.

I would recomend the item,but not same day delivery from Walm. ordered same day delivery and didn't come until next day. Needed the portable AC because my Central Air broke.

Very large very loud …very heavy. P1 error came on …says empty lower tray but no tray you instead must attach an included little hose to drain off very bottom backside of the thing.,,it's apparently meant to be on a cement floor with a floor drain nearby per booklet. Well I bought it for a small bedroom…on carpet. So I built a wood block stand to heave the huge heavy thing up on off my carpet. I cut a short 5 inch piece of included hose to attach to backside bottom drain plug. I bought a plastic square low bin to allow it to drain all day into plastic bin. Must empty my plastic bin every 7-8 hours or it will overflow onto my carpeted floor. Lots of work! Cannot watch tv in room with it running its a terrible high pitch noise machine. Not easy to sleep either. Loud big bulky not happy it cost me over 4hundred…I've spent $150 on little window models I would much prefer. Unhappy customer but yes it cools the 15x15 room. Would not recommend.

This IC just doesn't work as IC. Several minutes and shows P1 error and working just as fan. No cold. P1 shows I should get water out but all water out and IC continues to show P1 and work as fan. Very hot in the room.

for an expensive machine, I expected the exhaust pipe to sit flush to the back, yet there was a design flaw where the plastic piece that was supposed to clamp on top of the back of the machine was not flush. the top of the pipe just sat open at the top. Other than that, the machine was just fine.. it's a single hose portable. We went with a double hose elsewhere for a little more money and it was the best choice ever.

I have had it for 2 weeks and it already won't blow cold air. I bought a 8,000 btu from Walmart years ago that still works better than this. Highly do not recommend!!

Does not cover 450sq ft in humid/hot conditions. In the first day it gave me an error message 4 times of P1 meaning I have to empty the tray. If you're not sitting home all day then you need to find a drain somewhere so it doesn't stop working. Ridiculous. Also makes obnoxious rattling noise. Don't waste your money on this
