My central air had problems and it was going to be a week before it could be fixed. I purchased this portable air conditioner to keep me cool until then. This AC really puts out really cold air. It does make a small noise when it kicks into putting out cold air rather than just the fan, but not so much that it should bother anyone! With the remote control it is so easy to change the thermostat setting. When the temp reaches the temp you set it on then the fan blows our air until it senses the temp is going up and it then blows the cold air again. The vent is on the top of the unit and is NOT to be raised or lowered by hand! When you turn the unit on using the remote control the vent raises open. When you turn the unit off the vent closes. I am keeping this AC in case there is any future central air problems.

This portable air conditioner is just efficient enough to cool an upstairs bedroom from 80-degrees down to 74-degrees in about 30-minutes. It requires a drainage pipe (supplied) and two-gallon flat container (not supplied) to collect the copious condensation the first few days. Overall, a decent performance.

I love it! This unit is so awesome it cools 3 rooms. It's a nice size and design. Doesn't clutter up the room. Has several setting choices. It gets really cold and I cuddle up in a blanket. Love it so much!

This is one heck of an air conditioner!!! I was mind blown to find out it also has a heater as well!!!! The only think im not to fond of is that it turns off often but It does keep it nice and cool in here

Big but Worth the money!! My only dislike is the fan feature because it doesnt allow you to adjust the temperature. It selects the temperature and blows hot air!

Skeptical when purchased but really impressed when used. Be sure to sit upright on rollers when received for 24hr because it's shipped laying on its back. Had to use it 5 days after receiving because central A/C went out. Worked perfect on 450 sq. Ft. area afre a couple hours of running. Only needed it for a day but definitely cooled well. I highly recomend it for emergency use.

The thing works okay, but the remote control device quit working already. It's not the batteries. I'm using the remote to a previous air conditioner I bought there. That air conditioner (Arctic King) quit cooling after only 3 years. I hope this new one lasts longer, even though the remote control did not.

Please read all reviews. I wish I paid more attention to them. It does NOT blow cold air. I have a smaller midea and it is alot better than tjus bigger and heaver one. Definitely not happy after hauling it upstairs to my apartment only to find out it is blowing warm air and is not cooling my room down. It is set at 62 and it is 81 up here. I will be returning it, and not happy about having to haul it back downstairs and returning to Walmart to see if they have something else. Would not suggest buying this item.

The Midea ac had a nice cool breeze coming from it, however, it only reached the area right in front of it. It did not cool any part of the room. Its nice that it comes w the accessories need to make a tight seal, but they dont work very well. I ha e two elderly parents w no ac and this did not help at all. I got two big fans, one for each of them, to help cool them off instead. It is big and heavy so it will be a pain to return, but it just has to go back.

Purchased to help cool small room. Unpacking and set up is easy. First run did not seem to cool as product description. Went on vacation before doing a full evaluation. Upon returning, same result. Cools for a moment then stops. Have read manual twice and have concluded I have a bad unit. Will return.
