Midea 10,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner, MAW10S1DWWT, White

I've had this air conditioner for a couple of months already. I have it in a my master bedroom with a office room connecting and it works wonders in keeping both rooms cold.

it was delivered within 2 days. It works great. It was a little damaged on the back of it but I am so glad I didn't waite.

tried it out on a warm day runs as should. cooled the room down pretty fast. i have another midea air conditioner and i liked that one. very happy with the product.

Nice window unit cool off fast

Gets the job done. got it on sale for temporary use while my central unit is getting fixed which is now going on 4 months. Obviously more noise than central air but that is expected. Blows very cold. My window is 40 inches wide so I had to rig the installation, as the skirts go to 36 inches only, but it was no problem.

The reason for the mid-rating is not the product or walmart. the air conditioner works well and Walmart did its part. the air conditioner itself is well worth buying. it is exactly as advertised. The mid-rating is for the shipping company that Madea uses. I feel that with Walmart's buying power they could convince the manufacturer to use a different shipping company when they are representing Walmart by selling it through their site. on track /LaserShip said the item would arrive on the 27th. on the 25th it showed as arriving at their facility in Lebanon Tennessee which is about 4 hours from here. The 27th came and went with no delivery and no contact. On the 28th Walmart showed it as delayed but the item still showed as it's last scan being on the 25th in Lebanon tennessee. the 28th came and went and it still showed sitting in the same place. I contacted the shipper through their website and they assured me it was in their system and on its way to me. I asked where exactly it is or where the last scam was and they again assured me it's in their system and on its way to me. that was literally the only line they gave me no matter what I asked. the 29th came and went and I contacted Walmart who said give it two more days and then you can apply for a refund. that is very fair and very typical of Walmart because they always take care of their customer which is great. again it's the shipping company used by the manufacturer that is the issue. I contacted the shipper again on the 30th and was assured it's in our system and on its way to you. on the 31st it suddenly updated to youre our next stop. it did arrive on the 31st, 4 days late. they allow you to give notes to the driver when you buy the item and my note was to please leave it at the back of the house by the garage because it's a large item that could potentially be stolen. they left it at my front door facing the busy highway in the rain. luckily I was off work that day so I was able to retrieve it quickly. just know that if you buy this item the item itself is very good. zero complaints about the air conditioner. and zero complaints about the way Walmart handled it. but expect to play a guessing game on when it may or may not arrive. and having read many reviews on LaserShip/on track they are overwhelmingly negative and theft by the drivers has been alleged on many occasion. so the air conditioner itself is great but the experience of getting it here from the manufacturer was terrible. just know that going in.

It's ok. Cheapest I could find. It's doesn't get really cold, more like a dehumidifier with some AC cooling.

Had to return this item. It functioned even with the damage, but obviously the frame and fins were damaged.

This Midea came well-packaged and is really, really heavy, so I wound up paying $95.00 to install it in my small office where my central A/C doesn't really do a great job. Sadly, I did not test it before having it installed. To begin ... it is a lot smaller than it looked in the box - and that's okay. One of the issues, though, is that it is SOOOO LOUD! Even at its lowest setting, you can't hear yourself think. It's very annoying. I have literally asked myself today: "do you rather put up with all this noise, or some heat?" Of course, it's installed already, so I'm going to now have to force myself to live with it. That's not great. The other thing is that it does not work with Smart Life or Tuya Apps, but it does prompt you to install the SmartThings App, which didn't quite work for me. I wound up having to install the Midea App and then enabling that skill in Alexa. I DO LOVE that it works seamlessly*, so far, with Alexa. (Actually, I give my smart devices weird names because I HATE that Alexa always wants to "play" a song instead of 'turning on' a device). You can turn it on, off, and adjust the temperature or mode, by voice. That IS pretty cool. The last thing - and most important - that I am disappointed with, is that it doesn't seem to cool well. I bought it specifically to cool a small room although I normally always have my central A/C on. Well, even standing right in front of it, you don't really feel COLD air. Am I wrong to think that a/c's should blow COLD AIR? I'm baffled, but maybe it's because you can see all the way through the A/C when looking through the vents? What keeps the heat out?

I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone. I've had it installed for a couple of months and it just stopped working.
