This is the best window air conditioning unit I have every used. It is significantly quieter than others. It installed easily and comes with enough materials to create a good seal in the window. I generally remove window AC units for the winter months, but this one fits so well with such little air leakage that I may leave it in. The other great thing is the internet connectivity. I can monitor and turn on the unit from the mobile app anywhere. I use this feature all the time as I find it much easier to adjust the unit with my phone than using the remote. It also integrates with Alexa so that becomes another option. I have zero complaints. My plan is to replace all of the other window AC units with this, or other Midea units.
We are very pleased with this air conditioner. It’s very powerful and cools my living room and kitchen and also the hallway from the kitchen. I would definitely recommend it
There wasn't a lot of reviews for the 18000 BTU (got an electrician to change out my outlet and breaker to accommodate the larger appliance plug- already had the dedicated wire). Anything 18000 or above will NOT use a regular plug (any brand). As for the Midea, it has absolutely been excellent so far. It cools 4 separate rooms on my 1st floor (with the doors open) about 950 sq. ft while on ECO! The Smart Inverter is way quieter than my older 2021 GE 10000 BTU. You almost can't tell it's on! Installation: I installed it on my newer replacement vinyl window so I had to get creative (which I'm good at). I'm not sure what kind of setup you would have to have to use the 2 brackets they provide for the install (but I clearly didn't have it! - there was no way that was going to work). I'm pretty handy for a 50 year old female. I screwed in 2 pieces of wood on the outer windowsill ends (where the brackets would have gone) so it had something more sturdy to rest on and be secured with long construction screws (used the same holes the bracket would have been on). I probably could have gotten away with just using the large AC support arm I already had on the outside of the house (which is also being used), but I feel better knowing it's more secure and can't be stolen (especially on the 1st floor).
I ordered this in the hopes it could help cool a large area, and it is doing the job. I am so happy with this purchase. I got a good price, it was delivered, and I was able to install it myself. It says 2 people and that would be easier but if you can lift 50-60 pounds and have a table close to the window to put it on, you make it work. It is on low and 72 and 100 degrees outside but so comfortable inside. I am truly grateful for this air conditioner because I do not do well in the heat!
65 lbs installed it by myself. No problem.. Has remote thermostat in the remote control a feature which is difficult to find. It has a vent and fresh air mode.... It's also hard to find. it is a brand which is very popular in northern Europe I found. Quality workmanship. Excellent air conditioner.. Definitely lots ofvalue for the money!
I love this aur conditioner! So quiet and efficient. Really does keep the room cool.. Instalation took a bit to figure out. My husband and I installed together. Now that we have it figured out we plan on getting anmnother one. Would definitely reccomend. Dena
Finally, I got a model that works well sort of.. Have had issues with incorrect model specifications, then several damaged and non cooling units. This current unit didn't appear damaged, and it actually got cold, not just cool. I was so happy to get a unit that cooled that I somehow didn't realuze one side, and one bottom has bent metal, so it doesn't sit in the window correctly. It slopes downward on the right side about 1/4 inch. Real tired of this nonsense. I need help installing and removing air conditioners. It's hard to get help when needed. Now it's over 30 days, and I can't return this wonky thing.
It arrived via FedEx smashed on two corners. Walmart is expecting me to take this 125 pound unit to the store, over an hour away, in my small vehicle. The carton says to call Midea first. When you call them , they say , nope- call Walmart. Is this the way you want to do business for my 600 dollars? Cone and get it- it's smashed.
I purchased the unit in June, 2025. We used it for the summer. Upon re-start in April of 2026, the condenser would not work. No air conditioned air. I am in the process of having the company repair it and it is a nightmare. I do not recommend this AC unit. Stay clear of this product.
Do not use Angi off of walmart app. They have not shown up at my yet. Has already rescheduled 2 times. Already paid for service. Didn't let me know till 15 to 20 minutes for they were supposed to be there they weren't coming and needed to reschedule for a 2nd time.
