I’ve been using this Midea window A/C in my bedroom and it has done a great job so far. It cools the room quickly, even when it’s hot outside, and keeps a steady temperature without constantly cycling on and off. The noise level is surprisingly low—just a soft hum that actually makes it easy to sleep with. The controls are simple and the digital display is bright and easy to read from across the room. I like that it responds well to small adjustments and doesn’t blast freezing air all at once. Installation was straightforward, and once set up, it sealed well and didn’t let in outside noise or air. Even with the unit sitting close to my bed, it’s comfortable and doesn’t blow directly on me unless I angle the vents that way. Overall, it’s a reliable, quiet unit that cools great. Definitely worth it for a bedroom or small living space.
it is not quiet by any means, but it does the job. i think my room might be a little big for the 8000 btu so my only complaint would be my mistake. i should have got atleast 10000 btu for my room sizze. also, the vents can only be turned so far which is inconvenient because they dont move very much in any direction. but overall it was a good deal
The air conditioner works but the pictures of the item show that it is smart controlled through wifi and it is not. We did not know this until putting it together and in the window.
It is always in n Eco mode and shuts down way too often. The room temp is never consistent due to shutting down when it gets to temp then the room heats back up before it clicks back on. Annoyingly loud and inconsistent noise for a bedroom.
worst ac i have ever putchased the siding is terrible big huge gaps! super cheap thin siding! unit keeps freezing up even on low setting which will never cool a small room being the high setting doesnt such a waste of money had to buy a new one .i had purchased the window unit my son purchased the portable midea and he even has problems with the portable unit so i feel like its a bad brand all around
I received a used product. I was very disappointed on what was chosen for delivery. When I went into the store I could see that they had products that were unopened. I didn't attempt to see if it worked or not I simply returned.
this is the worst window ac I have owned in thirty years. No matter what mode this is on it turns completely off every ten or so minutes - I thought initially it must be in energy saver mode or eco mode or on auto but it wasn't … even when it would run for ten minutes at a time it never blew very cool air. The display screen is VERY bright so if you like sleeping in a dark room, forget it . The ac and the remote never seemed to sinc with their respective displays - Some ac's have compressor sounds that go on and off but if the unit is on and not on auto the fan keeps blowing between cycles- this does not do that - and it was not inexpensive . I will never buy a Midea product again
I replaced my 5,000 btu perfect aire (fairly cheap) model window AC in my bedroom in hopes that my bedroom would be even cooler and, with the door open and a fan positioned, coolness would also extend to my bathroom just outside of my bedroom. This 8,000 BTU has been a HUGE disappointment as I find myself sweating at night and it doesn’t do even HALF as well as my cheap 5,000 BTU unit did. I regret this purchase and, of course, when I finally got it unpacked, installed and found out it was a failure, I had missed their “return/refund” window by 3 days. DONT BUY! ITS A LOSER!
Here is the English translation of your message: ⸻ I ordered this air conditioner three times: 1. I ordered it through the app and picked it up — when I opened the box at home, I noticed clear signs of heavy use: dents on the radiator and scratches all over the unit. 2. I placed a second order for the same new unit to replace the previous one — I drove 20 miles from home to pick it up, but the order was canceled at the last minute! 3. I placed a third order and picked it up at the nearest store, but at home I discovered an even more heavily used, scratched, and damaged air conditioner. This time, the packaging was torn, the manual and accessories were in ripped bags, there was dirt on the unit, scratches, and even black dog hair. The radiator was completely dented! Naturally, I returned the air conditioner to the store for the third time. Walmart — this has been the worst shopping experience of my life. And I have no idea what I need to do to pay the price of a new item and actually receive a new, undamaged product — instead of systematically getting used and broken goods.
Do not waste your money. Worst window air conditioner I have ever purchased. I bought 2 , 1 works properly and one the exact same model does not. The remote is a joke, when you want to raise or lower the temp it does the opposite and it stops it from cooling and takes it to the dry mode. . If I could return the one unit I would but I can not get it back to Walmart and the customer service rep I spoke with could not figure out how to schedule FedEx to pick it up. This whole process has been awful. Just for the record I had purchased a Midea at a big box store and that one went back as it was leaking like the Titanic. They were however very helpful and the return process easy. This brand is junk. I have always had window ac units. The GE, Frigidaire and Freidrich have all been very good. When I called Midea customer service to ask a question they were condescending and rude. I would not take the chance on this one. When 2 out of 3 units have not worked properly do yourself a favor and buy another brand. I feel very ripped off as a consumer and with the cost of products and so many struggling in today’s economy this is unacceptable.
