Very easy to install and use. It makes refilling the lawn mower tank quick and efficient, and there are no gas leaks. One thing to watch out for is the high flow rate—it can fill the tank fast, so it's easy to overfill if you're not paying attention.
I ordered this spout to replace a slightly different style spout because it's much easier for me to use. This spout has a piece that catches the edge of the gas tank on my mower. That piece not only hold the can but allows the gas to flow making it easier for me to handle. The old spout that I replaced required more strength than I had. This one is perfect! I can refuel the mower by myself! It works so well that I'm ordered another one for the other gas can.
Found an empty 5 gallon Midwest gas can on the side of the road with no spout so I bought this replacement spout to make the can operational again. I used it to purchase extra gas and refill my vehicle when the gas tax was waived recently. Did not leak and spill gas on the paint!
I'm going to buy a 2nd spout I like it so much. Initially I wasn't pressing hard enough or in the right spot to make it click. The first pour leaked gas. Just needed to tighten the cap and it worked perfectly and fast!
This was a perfect replacement spout for my metal Midwest gas can! I would repurchase this product (if needed) and recommend this product if you are looking for a replacement spout for your metal Midwest gas can.
Exactly what I needed to replace the original spout on my can of the same brand. I can't speak to quality yet, but since the first one broke, maybe not the best. However, this option was still less expensive than a new gas can so it works for now.
i was glad it was available and it came the next day since the gas can i ordered the same day on a delivery from store was completely missing the cap. you have to have the cap to work this can in these tanks.
This fits and works perfectly. In an age of no old school spouts, this is the next best. The lock is positive and shuts flow off instantly but flows smooth when it's supposed to.
This is a great replacement spout for a gas can thats 20 years-old. I like the fact a button has to be pressed to allow the fuel to flow out the spout. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I believe a curved nozzle is safer and would function better. Because the nozzle is staight, the gas can has to be tilted in an almost completely upright position to allow fuel to flow. A full gas can is awkward to hold in that position, plus too much fuel may potentially flow out... especially for small-engine lawn equipment.
These need to be function tested before installing on the tank. I had to work mine. It was sticking and required a pliers to push the red button down. Then had to push the nozzle in half a dozen times until it freed up. Once that was done, they work pretty well. I would buy them again.
