The table was delivered in the time quoted and very easy to assemble. It looks beautiful in our gameroom!!!
It is pretty and the four legs themselves are solid wood, but they connect to particle board sides that support the rest of the table. Pretty disappointing. The main legs are only connected to the main body by the one inch (maybe it is 1.5 in.) thick sidewalls at the corners. If you bump the table it shakes more than it should. If you did something more drastic, like putting your full weight on it, you would likely break the sidewalls and crash the table entirely. For a $1000 table, it really should be more sturdy than this. It could easily be remedied by putting an extra board in there to support the table. We have only had the table for a month but my son already scared the life out of me when he was leaning over the table to make a shot and the table rocked a bit. I can just imagine that when we move, this table is going to be a risky proposition. Matter of fact, I don't know if it is possible to move the table. The sidewalls are particle board and are connected via multiple smaller screws. If you undo a screw in particle board, it is not possible to secure them again. The leather in the pockets are a bit stiffer than I would like, but that might just be because it is new and they will loosen over time (hopefully). Other than those issues, it is a heavy table that is smooth and plays well. Given the opportunity, I would buy a different table.
The pool table came in busted by a forklift I still have it the truck has not picked it up yet to return it.
The table is absolutely beautiful. However, it is one piece and inconvenient to put into your home if it has any turns or short areas
I would give five stars to the looks. the rest is a different story. I purchased the table online at Walmart at the beginning of March. It was supposed to be delivered to Jamestown, NY for pickup on March 13. I tracked the shipment a few times, the tracking info said "delayed shipment" with the last known location Erie, PA. I never received any pickup notice. A few days after the due date I called Walmart customer service to learn that because the table was not picked up, they shipped it back to warehouse. Walmart issued a cancellation of the existing order and placed a replacement order to be delivered at the end of March. 3 days before the due date I received a call from Walmart in Jamestown that I have TWO tables to be picked up in their store. I picked up table from original order, drove it home and asked three of my strong friends to help me carry it upstairs. Upon unpacking the table I noticed that one of the long MDF braces was cracked, presumable due to rough handling during the complicated and long table journey to destination, despite its being supported by a palette. I managed to fix the crack with the glue and a clamp. Next, having read instructions two times, my wife and I assembled the aprons first, properly positioning the corner posts as indicated by arrows. Attaching the leg support braces was the first challenge as the threads in the aprons did not match the holes in the leg support braces even where the holes were much larger, presumably in anticipation of inaccuracy in location of the threaded inserts in the aprons!!!! Great engineering solution! As the tightening of the bolts did not feel right, now totally losing trust in the connections, I decided to glue the supports. Turning the assembled base upside down I noticed that the top of the base does not line up with the MDF braces of the table cabinet, by almost one inch on shorter sides and by 3/8 to 1/2" on longer sides, making it practically impossible to install all hinges connecting the base to the cabinet. Who knows why we are instructed by the manufacturer (or distributor Escalade Sports) to assemble the product on even floor when the product is crooked to start with. When four of us were turning the table on its legs I was praying for the bottom not to fall off. I was able to level the table but now I lost confidence in the stability of the weak table support in the long run. Honestly, if there was a simple way of returning the product, I would. The only plus of this table is its looks.
Misleading description…. Legs are solid wood, however they fasten to the absolute cheapest pressboard I've ever seen. What is the point??? Fitment of the Legs was terrible and the holes had to be modified. Customer service for the product was ok at best and prompt delivery of the needed replacement parts. The table came in damaged, but hardly a easy yo return item.
This would've been the perfect table except for the following issues surrounding delivery and the condition in which the table was delivered : 1. Shipping issues 2. Broken pieces and seemed to have water damage. As others have said, there is some particle board parts that give me pause and wishing that it was all actually real wood. * The shipping company called me to ask did I have "something" to get this off of the truck and if I didn't it wasn't going to be delivered today. That said, AIT worldwide was more than accommodating and apologetic when I contacted them. They rescheduled for the next available day (3 days later) as this was resolved late Thursday afternoon; which I had to subsequently reschedule the assembly that I paid for. Which in turn resulted in a late rescheduling fee that was set for Friday. * Delivery day 2: Upon setting up the 2nd delivery day I confirmed "threshold" of my choice that's accessible. It was confirmed that they'd bring it just inside my door to the walk-out basement.... Yeah, they went back and forth with my wife stating that they couldn't do it and insisted that they'd put it in the garage. With the assembly guys on the way, I rush home to meet them. Those guys were AWESOME btw. The most pleasant part of this experience. This is when we noticed how damaged the boxes were. They were torn and appeared to have been wet at some point in the past. * Broken parts of the table: 1. One of the side panels were totally broken off of the screws and support block. 2. One of the wooden legs was cracked and chipped. 3. The side panels directly above the legs were warped in certain places as if it had gotten wet at some point. I am beyond upset and disappointed with this. I've sent Fogdog a message and will be calling them today to see what they're rectifying actions are as well as contacting Walmart but I can't find a direct number for them to complain to. Which is upsetting and annoying in itself. The table is beautiful and was a perfect addition to our space, but NOT in this condition. No one pays this amount of money to ultimately receive broken goods. I surely hope this isn't a long drawn out saga and I the customer am left holding the bag. I've wanted a pool table in my home for years. As a military family we moved a lot in the 21 years I served and have issues w/ large items overseas. So we didn't purchase one until I retired. That day is here and we were so excited just to be let down. Fogdog hasn't replied as I literally just sent them this message prior to posting this review. I'll give updates once its resolved and I hope to come back with a happy report.
I would have loved it if it had came undamaged by a forklift. I had to send it back for a refund so I could get another one. I hope it is soon I want to play pool.
im reaching out to you because i payed to have my table set up and haven't heard from no one .And i filled out the paperwork for shuffle Assembly as well and unable reach them.
If I had the option to rate negative reviews I would I purchase this iteams 2 times and both times they came damaged save your time and money buy else's where !!
