If you come from a family, that loves rice for every meal then this is for you !!something quick and easy you can serve up to your children without a lot of effort. Also, great when you're out of town and all you have is the hotel microwave and a child that refuses to eat without rice.
This is such an easy way to prepare meals for one or two. Yes it's lazy and creates waste but not FOOD waste. And I'll tell ya what.... the taste is delicious authentic and just right.
I am a fan of instant rice but all brands don't taste the same. I like Minute rice in the individual cups as well as boil a bag. This yellow rice has the same texture and taste as the yellow rice that has to be cooked. It's extra convenient and easy to use. I have not had any unpleasant experiences with it. I'm not a nutritionist but I am selective with my food and do check for certain ingredients. These days it seems to be a “warning” with everything we consume so I don't engage in if products such as this are healthy or not. As long as I don't see certain ingredients included I just have to take the manufacturer word at its value because all this food and drinks are with risks. As for aroma, the yellow rice smells average. No bad smells detected but no irresistible smells either. If you need or want a rice option in a hurry, I recommend trying it.
I love this rice! Its simple to heat- just pop in microwave for 1 minute! I dont have time to cook rice on stove so this is great when I want rice with my meal. The taste is always great- never had a bad rice from this company. Its a bit pricy for 2 containers but you are paying for the convenience. So, its good to have on hand for those time crunched evenings coming home!
The single serving cups of this yellow rice are perfect for lunch for one. It's good to take to work and microwave it in the break room. My microwave at home died on me, but you can still heat this up on the stove. I add a 5oz can of canned chicken to it .The rice absorbs the broth from the chicken and makes it fluffier. Adding in the broth also helps release some of the seasoning so the chicken picks up the flavor.
These are good tasty cups. They are convenient when you live alone. I just think they are high priced for rice.
Cooks in microwave in one minute. Comes out moist - and delicious. I add some real butter. Great size for a side.
So easy for a quick side dish or an addition to a meal for one or two. Tastes great. Easy to prepare.
Good for lunches, tastes good and is a reasonable amount
These are nasty! I tried adding more water and cooking longer. It did not help! I was trying to avoid the cost of a full box of rice, and wasting it. I have tried freezing leftover rice, and it is not good, however the frozen rice tastes much better than these sing rice cups. That isn't saying much!
