[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't think I've ever loved a product more than this wood filler. The results are frickin phenomenal. And it's not brittle at all. It actually feels like a natural part of the table.

easy to apply sanding and staining is excellent

I used this product tonight and not only did it not accept the stain it completely repelled it. Now my stairs are left with white splotches everywhere that I applied the wood filler. I did sand the wood filler and wipe the step down before staining. It looks horrible!

I bought this product a few days ago and used it on a hand made picnic table I was given when I was 3 yrs old, I am now 32 and have a young son who is going to use it and it's still in really great shape (they dont make things like they used too) but there were a few splinter spots, and natural knots in the wood that I sanded before buying the stain and weather protector. While at the store I seen this product and thought it would be good to maybe help hold the table together another 30 years. So I used it in a few spots and to my VERY unpleasant surprise, when I stained the table, it now looks worse then before, as you can see, the spots where i used the "stainable" wood filler did NOT stain. This product RUINED an amazing piece of hand made work! Very upset nostalgic mother!

Heed the prior reviews..I wish I would have read them before I used this on my antique table I just refinished. It does sand easily, but who cares when it absolutely does NOT take stain. False advertising for sure. I use Minwax stains and they are pretty good, but this product will ruin your project. That you can count on.

Not worthy of the one star you are required to give to be accepted as a product review. Ruins your project by staining the wood. Not even a good wood filler. Doesn't sand well, extremely gritty. Can't tell you just how bad the product really is without upsetting Minwax moderators. Use anything else but this product!!

I purchased this product to fill in the holes on stairs that I replaced in the home. I asked the salespeople at the paint store many times if the stain would cover the product and not be seen, I was told "it says 'Stainable' right here." I followed the directions to the letter, used Minwax stain and polyurethane, and I am very disappointed. The filler is very noticeable and does not look like it was stained. It had the same effect as the "plastic wood" product I purchased for a different project. I just feel that I wasted my money.

Tried this once before on a table and it didn't stain. I decided to give it another try with a different project and unfortunately got the same results. Now I have spots that look worse than the holes did.
