Get the pink label!!!

Peggy December 12, 2025

For container gardening, this is the best. I've tried other Miracle Grow products and none make my plants as happy as the pink labeled, organic raised bed and garden soil. I grow various tomatoes, various lettuces, various peppers, and various onions in a controlled environment in containers. I ditched hydroponics for dirt because the plants grow much better with less tending.

Having shopped several sources for comparable organic garden soil, I found Walmart to have exactly what I wanted at a good price. Plus, Walmart's previous service had served me well. Again, thanks.

The best bagged soil that we have ever found. We have 80 foot of raised beds to care for. We tried using sand mixed with horse manure and the bagged manure. This soil is the perfect mix that can be used as is or till it into the soil beds. Great option to use when tefilling your raised beds. I plan on adding it to our pool pad gargen next year. Must try soil

Makes all the difference, so worth it!

Mona July 10, 2025

I used this organic raised bed and garden soil to refresh my vegetable beds this season, and I'm seriously impressed with the results. Right out of the bag, the soil looked and felt great — dark, rich, and full of organic matter, with no funky smells or clumps. It has excellent drainage and moisture retention, which is crucial for raised beds. I mixed it directly into my planters and didn't need to amend it with anything else. Within a couple of weeks, my seedlings — especially my zucchinis — took off with healthy, vibrant growth. Yes, it's a bit pricier than basic garden soil, but if you're growing vegetables or herbs, the quality and peace of mind are well worth it. Highly recommend for raised beds, container gardens, and anyone serious about healthy, organic growing.

Not fully broken down…

daniel June 26, 2025

…buUut the red wigglers like it that way. You'd think being on a farm would negate buying soils, when I make plenty every year, however: when it's on sale, and organic, it's a huge time saver. For those of you potting plants? This isn't for that, buUut… adding a donut over some mulch for drainage before filling save on your potting soil, while adding extra weight low in your planter. (You'll be glad you did when windstorms come, and when it's time to recycle your soils later ~;-)

More like mulch

Karr March 29, 2026

This product doesn't look as nice as it could. I thought it was garden soil, but it is garden soil mixed with mulch. The contents of the bags were soaking wet, making them really hard for me to carry just from the front where they dropped it off to the backyard.

Disappointed

Crystal August 16, 2025

I was told not to use topsoil which is what I normally use but they say it's too dense and crowds roots hindering growth well this potting soil was a huge disappointment. Got sprouts but everything died. It's mostly Mulch if that's what you use for gardening soil then I guess this will work for ya

this is not soil at all.. far from it. it was full of big wood hunks with sharp edges and light in color.. fresh wood chips not even starting to decompose into soil. just glad I only ordered two bags. I was really expecting more from a Miracle-Gro product. very disappointing. the 2. 97 bag of topsoil %26 3.97 green bag of expert gardener were way better... well at least all the wood chips were smaller... but they're all wood chips ..there's no soil to any of it anymore.

WalMart Won't Ship in timely manner

Julie May 22, 2024

Don't waste your time trying to get this shipped from WalMart. I have a walmart membership and am supposed to get free shipping. I placed the order yesterday (when I was at the store because I could not get any assistance in lifting the product) and was told it would be drlivered today from my local store. I received an email this morning telling me it is delayed. I talked to two different customer service people and got two different reasons for delay. The second rep told me it is out of stock at my local store. They actually have two pallets of it. If you don't have a large order, they don't ship/deliver as promised. I was told it could take 3-10 days, even though the store really does have it in stock!

Not a product for delivery

JEANNETTE May 26, 2025

unless you are picking this item at the store yourself, do not order it. The product gets treated so roughly it arrives with holes everywhere!! I don't know if the holes are from mishandling, or from bugs. It looks like they kicked it all the way from the store to my house. That doesn't happen when you buy in person at the store.
