This Miracle-Go Performance Organics All Purpose Container Mix 6qt is a rich, light container mix that was visibly excellent for use in a container. I used it to repot a kalanchoe flower that I purchased from a nursery. I wanted to put it into a larger container and give it a good start in life. The plant experienced growth and visible vitality within days, and two weeks later I am very happy with the condition of the plant. I believe it did better than most other container mixes I have tried in the past. The manufacturer states it comes with fertilizer sufficient for three months. The label states it also contains sphagnum peat moss, perlite, and aged compost, among other items.
Miracle-Gro is always our first choice for plant care. We are extremely pleased with this particular potting mix. The soil is very rich and easy to use. There were no clumps of dirt in the bag. It was just pure soil with no unpleasant odor. It has a nice rich texture. We used it to repot one plant outdoors and fill in the top of a second plant. Another amazing feature is the easy open bag. We did not have to use scissors or tear the bag where it is ruined. A simple opening at top was a pleasant feature. We will be purchasing this potting mix for our future plantings!!
I've used it for repotting and for new planting. Excellent! Also good for flowers and herbs. Definitely recommended. Can never go wrong with Miracle-Gro.
Thought I would try it. Planted mini roses in this, since I have never been able to make them grow. Results are amazing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replanted a Coleus using this last weekend. The Coleus has grown extremely well, I am quite impressed. Would recommend and definitely use again. The soil was shipped in an excellent manner, and it came very quickly.
I have been using this soil to garden in 25 gallon fabric containers as well as in 15 gallon pots for my avocado and mango trees. I also use it as my go to soil for all my outdoor potted plants. I have never used a better soil. All my plants thrive in this soil. And for those reviewers who complain of fungus gnats, this is an ORGANIC soil folks. That means it has life in it, microorganisms that benefit your plants. If fungus gnats concern you, try a sterilized soil in which your plants won't thrive as they will in Performance Organics Container Mix. It's the BEST!
So I'm new to gardening, but I dove all the way in. I wanted Organic so I grabbed this organic miracle grow to help with our Covid Quarantine. I have planted directly outside since southern Louisiana is hot enough and my plants are germinating quickly! I am SO excited to daily see the new sprout coming up! I had tried other things when I was younger, and gave up because my results never came up good. I love this organic miracle grow. I am A huge fan!
This Miracle-Gro Performance Organic container mix is really pleasant to use. It smells good like fresh soil and it is light enough for me to carry. The bag was easy enough to open with my fingers. It made me happy to get to use this. I needed to sit outside in the sunshine to try and get well from a bout of sickness and this was easy to use and didn't over exert me. I re-potted my Spaths (peace lilies) and they seemed grateful. I also filled a big pot that I added tomato seeds to. I also refreshed the dirt for my other indoor plants. The only downside that I noticed is after using this with my bare hands my hands got red and chapped. So perhaps I need to wear gloves or apply lotion to my hands before I use this. I still have a bit left in the bag and I'm glad because I want to plant some more. I will buy this kind again. I do recommend this
So far so good. Trying to find more of this because it's not enough to fill the flower pot. Why is it that organic soil & seed is so hard to find? Is it just the wrong time of year? Hopefully I'll be able to find both.
After begging my husband to buy this and spending a fortune on it, my plants didn't grow very much. We even bought a bottom watering grow box and followed all the instructions. Here is a picture of my Big Bertha bell pepper which was planted 2 months ago. Needless to say my husband is very unhappy about spending that much money (or any money) on something that doesn't work.
