Mitsumoto sakari knife sharpener
I got tired of hauling out my whetstones to sharpen my knives and had not been able to use my chef's knife for a couple of years. This sharpener restored the edge in a few easy strokes and even smoothed an old nick in the blade. Instructions were easy to follow, and I was pretty confident in choosing the right angle adjustment. Excellent product.

Great knife sharpener.
I just finished sharpening all of my knives with my new MITSUMOTO SAKARI. Grandpa did do a better job with a whetstone, but I never mastered that art, so I will use this device. Understanding the correct angIe to use for the various types of knives helps to get a clean sharp edge. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased a MITSUMOTO SAKARI and was very satisfied. So I wanted to keep it sharp and bought this sharpener. It even put a sharp edge on the amazon knife i bought last year.

very smart purchase
super easy to adjust the sharpening angle, and there is a list on the side of the sharpener with optimal angles for all types of knives. this is a Godsend for someone who has both Asian and European knives in their kit.

Sharp!
Sliced thru a tomato with ease after sharpening two extremely dull knives - one knife was about 10-yrs old! highly recommend this Japanese knife sharpener!

It actually sharpened 2 knives, really well. Then, it stopped working. I adjusted to the dial. Nothing nice came out dollar than before, wouldn't sharpen? Fissured and sharpened on the scissors section. Thinking about thinking about returning? I still have the window open for return.
