I dislike the container. Very difficult to see how much oil is left over when trying to pour out a specific amount. Please make it so you can see amount remaining when using partial amount of oil.
I prefer this oil for my recently purchased diesel truck. It's a 1996 F-350 turbo powerstroke and has 345,000 miles, so a long engine life oil is important to me. It holds 15 quarts so it's great, and makes sense, to buy it in the 5 gallon buckets. I will continue to use it and was also recommended by my son.
This is all we use in our diesel trucks. Works well and no issues with our engine. Since we only drive diesel trucks, we go through a lot of this oil.
Use in my semi for years. Prefer Mobil to be used in my heavy trucks as well as my personal cars. Mobil is cleaner oil and my semi use to leak using Rotella oil. When started to use Mobil Delvac I have no issues of leaking or nor have to add to oil between oil changes.
The 2.5 gallon containers make it quicker to change oil on diesel engines. Most of the diesel engines I work on start at a 3 gallon capacity.
I have a Detroit 12.7 that I refer Delo for. But it's hard to find Delo in the 2.5 gallon at Walmart nowadays. So I get the Delvac and change it at 8k miles as opposed to 10k miles with Delo. A great value if you change your own oil.
I've been using this for 20 years since working as a semi mechanic. We used Delo, Rotella and Delvac. The dealer advised 10,000 mile oil changes, but we had a fleet that ran Delvac to 30,000. Every oil change had an oil sample done and every one came back over 50% remaining. I've never seen anything else come close. I currently use this in all my vehicles and equipment (large car, small car, mini truck, mini van, lawn tractor, lawn mower, chinese mini excavator, rototiller, generator and snowblower) and I will continue to do so until I have a problem. The jug/bucket I buy clearly states this is SP rated even though the website doesn't say it is. The 10w-30 is harder to find, but worth it for colder temps.
I worked for a Shell Distributor for 33 years and have always been partial to Shell T4 1540, however when Shell went to has to liquid technology customers started to have issue with oil pressure and consumption. When I left the oil company I switched to Mobil and notice my equipment carried better oil pressure and no consumption. There for I feel Mobil oil has better technology.
Ordered 5X2.5Gallons of oil to be delivered to house plus one other item. 6 items total. They only delivered 2 of the 5 gallons of oil. And the other item was not there as well. Interesting thing however is that the order was marked complete? Called customer service and they were very nice, issued a refund and I ordered again. Question is why was it marked complete when only 2 items delivered?
item paid for and they delivered it to the wrong address. still haven't received a refund or the product. thanks.
