Molly's Suds Original Laundry Detergent Powder | Gentle for Sensitive Skin | Earth-Derived Ingredients, Stain Fighting | 120 Loads (Citrus Grove)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I try to keep harmful chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other toxic substances out of my home and body so I really appreciate having a laundry detergent that is non toxic. While I have two dogs and a husband who's always working on some project and therefore have extremely dirty laundry which often requires stain remover on various “spots”, NO laundry detergent will get those stains out without some help. Otherwise I am very pleased with these products.

I've consistently bought the unscented original laundry powder on amazon for a few years now. Recently I received a different formula that now doesn't contain the enzyme blend in it. Im truly disappointed in this because as a homesteading family who also cloth diapers and husband works with equipment, the enzymes are why I bought it to begin with for an affordable price. Now it seems to only be in the Super laundry powder which is more expensive per load. Just feels like a lack of transparency from the company and another money grab to have you buy the more expensive product.

The pods do not breakdown, no matter the temperature of the water. My clothing ends up with big globs of half dissolved detergent pods. Even after washing towels (again) in HOT water, the pods do not dissolve. The pods attach themselves to my clothing and the area looks like a big knot. If I try to remove the half-dissolved pod, the clothing ends up with a hole in it. The only way to remove the pod from the clothing is to run the area under hot water until it becomes glue-like and continuing until it completely dissolves. What a waste of money AND water. Very, very dissatisfied.

Our 5-year LG Top Loader Washer began having gray flakes in the tub and on clothes called "scrud". Tried Oxi Washing Machine Cleaner 5 times, but the flakes remained. Began researching that it can be caused by using powder detergent, too much powder or liquid detergent, or by using cold water. Wound up having to take drum out and scrubbing off hardened grayish film all over the place. Began considering a liquid detergent, but was bummed because I have 3 new large bags of Molly's Suds. Tested the option of dissolving the Molly's Suds in hot water before using in laundry machine. Was disappointed to find after much stirring and super hot water, that there were white pellets (similar looking to small styrofoam pellets) floating in the glass. I can't imagine that it will miraculously dissolve during a wash load, and it will end causing more scrud in addition to not cleaning the clothes. So disappointed. I've used Molly's Suds for years. :/

Extremely pleased with this laundry soap! Checks all of the non toxic boxes PLUS it actually cleans and deodorizes. We are still in the potty training phase and it does WONDERS for urine scent to be neutralized. We double up on scoops for heavily soiled clothes/shoes. Has a scent, but in my opinion wears off after it hits the dryer. Not an issue as fragrance isn't my thing - but something to keep in mind if you prefer more fragrance.

I've been a long time user of Molly Suds but my most recent purchase of their unscented powder detergent smells like peppermint?? I have two large bags that have this smell while previous orders haven't had any smell at all. Perhaps there's a quality control issue?

Obviously, it's a powder and you shouldn't try to breathe it in, but this is an amazing scent and one to one and a half scoops on a super sized cold wash does the job everytime. Lasted several months in my family of 3. It should be noted that it has to be kept airtight like other powders, it will go bad quickly if left open to the air, which is easy to do when the package won't close again. I keep mine in a candy jar with an airtight lid. If you have cats l—don't get the citrus scent, citrus is toxic to cats.

The orange smell is not strong enough. When you dry clothes you cannot smell fragrance. Would be nice to smell some fragrance.

The older I get the more I find detergent fragrance/smells offensive %26 nauseating. This detergent is mild, cleans well %26 still gets bad smells out. This is one of my regular purchases.

I am pleased with this product. It seems to clean well and I like to be using a product that is clean
