I have an older golden retriever who had taken to urinating on my new carpet. I needed to be able to isolate her, but I didn't want the entire family to have to navigate baby gates. I got this retractable one and it has been perfect. I left a little space at the bottom so the cat can get through. It has worked so well and it doesn't attract attention like a rigid baby gate would.

i got this gate because i just had a baby and my dog can open my door. so i put it on the outside of my door so i can keep my door open at night. i love it! im getting another one soon. it locks and he is not able to get in my room. the retraction is great. it does hang a little bit but because my other kids have played with it. regardless i love it!!

I bought this gate because my grandkids and dog seem to be at odds and keeping them apart is best, at times. I love this gate; it's in my doorway by the front door and living room. It's lovely the only thing used, that has worked to keep my create strong small dog out of living room and away from grandkids that want to chase and play with the old lady. It's locking mechanism, the slide and easy to loop to latches make this a great gift. Now the smart and hand strong child can figure out how to open it but must be strong to unlock the lock latch. And my he-man strong 5 years old grandson hasn't open it when locked. So definitely worth the buy. I didn't install it myself so unfortunately no comments about that.

My item was delayed. I was wondering why it was delayed and when I received it 2 days later and that's when I realized that the box that it came in which was the original box was shipped in was damage I wasn't happy about that but it's all good.

I am very disappointed with this baby gate. It looks nice and overall does have a nice design, however, I wasn't sent all the pieces. The box arrived super beat up and taped everywhere. It was obvious that the gate had been opened and returned. Whoever returned it, didn't include all of the pieces. I couldn't return the gate, as I needed it right away for one day. I had to use rope and tie the rope in order to install the gate because it didn't come with all the pieces. Very upset by this purchase.

Pros- Appealing design - Can be left rolled up to be out of the way - Even the shorter option is a good height Cons- Even when it is locked and the gate is sitting on the floor, the bottom can give just enough slack to let our terrier sneak underneath. If it wasn't for the fact that my sister comes over with her young kids sometimes, I would have returned this. I bought it solely to keep our dogs from going into the kids bedrooms upstairs...but they keep getting under the dang thing!

This Baby Gate came in with the box extremely damaged and was missing everything needed to even attach it to the wall. I am forced to return it as it is completely unusable in this state.
